OMG - Edit
We got a chocolate cupcake from there today. It was unmarked, but it had hazelnut on it. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted. Wow.

Vegan baked goods - Edit
I made a small detour here while in Portland. I had the cardamom bun, and while the flavor was good it was fairly dry. Would try other things in the future.

Must Go, especially if you have allergies - Edit
I am obsessed. We bought so much- the lox, pumpkin latte, sausage filled bread, muffins.

I love the story behind Carina and i so appreciate that everything is clearly marked with allergens. As someone who has celiac, this was heaven.

Pistachio cake goes crazy - Edit
I love this place so much. As the title indicates, the pistachio cake is amazing. So flavorful and moist. Their lunch items are super tasty. Today I got the Princess on Ice ice cream - so good and worth every penny. The vibes are also top tier. Let’s be honest; Portland area vegan spots can be pretentious and uncomfortable. Not here. It’s so cute inside and the workers are helpful and down to earth. Go here!!!

Fantastic Everything! - Edit
Delicious sweets and savory baked goods, and almost everything was gluten free (on top of the whole place being fully vegan). So rare to find such amazing vegan gluten-free baked goods, as well as great customer service!

Very worth the drive for me! - Edit
This place was excellent both for vegan food, but also for allergy friendly and accommodating choices. I got a cinnamon bun warmed up, and a hot chocolate made with coconut milk, and both were delicious! Everything in the bakery is vegan, and all major allergens are listed, plus they're very open to talk through ingredients with you. Would definitely come again!

Tasty but a little dry - Edit
Loads of vegan options from biscuits cookies and pies but the pie could have done better with a gravy or sauce. Glad I had a drink with it.

eats one item and has to write a review instantly - Edit
Yeah like the title says, I took one bite of the coconut chocolate cookie (girl scout samoa copycat) and was instantly sent back to my girl scout days. Thank goodness Carina’s bakery exists cause oh my gosh the baked goods are great and so are the reasonable prices!!! The inside of the bakery is so cute and the staff is friendly. I loved the display of all of the items, I love a variety! Worth the drive to Beaverton from Portland on my last day here. edit for my photos too: i also got an almond cake

Scandinavian Twist on Baked Goods - Edit
Love this place! Most of the things we tried were knocks out of the park, a couple things were so-so, but overall this is a must stop in Beaverton.
Read moreMy absolute FAVE are the “Cheeze” and scallion biscuits - OMG. I could eat those every day. The remind me of Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuits which I haven’t had for 20 years.
A word of caution on the cupcakes - they are no joke. They are heavy, dense, and loaded with frosting. One full sized cupcake is enough to satisfy two, or even three, people who just want a little something sweet.
I hope I get to go back in the near future! I’m going to be dreaming about those biscuits. 🤤
Pros: 100% vegan, Good selection of sweet and savory items, Cheeze and scallion biscuits
Cons: Potato salad almost inedible from over salting, Smaller cupcakes would be ideal

A veritable cornucopia of vegans treats - Edit
So many choices of fantastic sweet and savory vegan offerings. Very rich and filling, I like the chocolate hazelnut cake and the carrot “lox”. Caring service with a wonderful story behind the business. Feels good to support these folks.

Terrible customer service and honestly terrible cake! - Edit
I ordered a cake approximately 2 weeks prior to Mother's Day as a surprise for my wife who is allergic to dairy and therefore would think a vegan cake would be perfect. I placed an order for a red velvet cake with raspberry jam filling and what I received was not anywhere close to red velvet. I am not entirely sure what flavor the cake was, but most likely it was their Swedish spice cake.
Read moreI contacted the bakery through email several times notifying them of the situation. Because it was not the cake that I had ordered, I requested to receive a refund. After 72 hours, I have not heard anything back from the bakery. Not even a simple apology for the mix-up. At this time, I am out $55 for a cake that I did not order nor did we enjoy.
In regards to the cake itself, we were only able to get through one slice. The frosting honestly was not too bad, but the cake itself was actually quite disgusting. It was dense as a brick and lacking in any particular flavor, which was why it was hard for my wife and I to identify whether this was an off-colored red velvet or the Swedish spice cake.
I am disappointed as this was one of the only bakeries that had a wider than normal selection of vegan or dairy-free cakes around town. Will stick with more reputable bakeries.
Cons: They made me the wrong cake and refused a refund!, The cake just honestly was not very good, Can't give this place 1 star due to site rules

The almond cake was so good! And so were the biscuit and meat pie. The samoa was disappointing but it was exciting to go to a swedish restaurant that doesn't smell like fish haha. Excited to go back and try their sandwiches.

Get the almond cake! - Edit
There really are no words to describe how incredibly delicious the almond cake is. It doesn’t look like much, but it is perfect. Moist, not too sweet, with a crunchy-chewy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. I couldn’t believe it was gluten free. We lucked out and got some that were still warm out of the oven. There is a huge variety of other vegan (deceptively) gluten free goodies as well.

Huge variety of pastries and beverages. I had a delicious Matcha latte made with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich. The best part of the sandwich was the homemade biscuit it was on.
