All vegetarian, delicious across the board

We must have eaten half the menu and it was all so good. Everything is veg, many items are vegan (including a coconut milk stout). I'm so full and so happy.

Indian Pub?

Fine - did not blow me away

The food was fine, but didn't blow me away, and I wouldn't even say we particularly liked them. We have the vegan for 2. The food went cold very fast and there were some hard things (looked like peas, could have been seeds) that hurt our teeth in one of the dishes. Wouldn't eat there again. But there are a lot of vegan options and I do think it is reasonably priced. Staff didn't check to see if the meal was okay.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Reasonably priced

Cons: Food wasnt that good

Such lovely food

I had a very productive business meeting here on Friday with the added bonus of such lovely food served by such lovely people.
It really is the very least I can do to recommend Bundobust Piccadilly to you.
This is one of those reviews that if I read it myself, I’d be rushing down here to try for myself.
Funky vibe, own brewery (not sampled).
What’s not to like?

Cool place in Manchester

A cool restaurant offering Indian street food and a great selection of drinks. Its an interesting twist on a Indian restaurant and one of my favourite places in Manchester.

Tasty but not amazing

Food was ok, aloo and dahl kachori, and okra fries were excellent, but everything else was a bit samey and lukewarm. Service was quick and friendly. Probably won't come back unless menu changes.

Fab

I have eaten at their other branches before. Came here as a group of 5 on a university friends’ reunion ona Friday in January. We were well looked after and not hassled to vacate the table despite taking longer than a reservation is supposed to allow. Mind, we ordered loads! I kept one piece of my paratha bread and ate it the next morning. As with a lot of spicy food, it was even more delicious the next day.

Pros: Booth tables give privacy

Divine Indian Street Food!

This is a hidden gym, nestle right next to picadilly gardens.

Large menu of plenty of vegan options on menu, between 2 people we shared 5 plates and it was plenty!

Highly recommend the okra fries, bahji butty, and aloo & dahl kachori! Super delightful flavours, and very interesting combinations of flavours.

A little bit of a squeeze to get to our table, and the restaurant was busy but it honestly added to the street food vibe.

Pros: Range, Flavour, Service

Cons: A bit pricey

Great Indian food

There's loads of vegan options here including a set vegan combo for 2 option, so you're sure to find something that tickles your fancy. It was all really great, with good beer options to boot!

Lots of vegan options

Great food choices. Plenty to try when I popped in here for an evening meal. Was about 8pm on a Tuesday and was really busy, so got a small table by the bar. The menu options were labelled V for vegan. I had rice, a chick pea dish, fried ocra with dips, a cold cabbage based dish and puri bread. Plenty there for less than £25. Really nice, I’d go again to try the other vegan things.

Pros: Lots of choice, Well labelled, Speedy service

Cons: None

Delicious Indian food

A local friend took me here and it did not dissapoint! There were quite a few nice veggie Indian dishes to try. My favourite was the Bhaji burger. There's a few craft beers to choose from too. It was a nice experience overall.

Great food, bit loud

really enjoyed the food, especially the tarka daal, we were both stuffed afterwards! The only downside was I found it a little loud, but we did go at a busy time so may be different if there were fewer folks in.

Pros: great food, lots of vegan options, good value for money

Cons: a bit louad

More Boom than Bust

I had dined here a couple of times many years ago and I was quite underwhelmed, especially given the rave reviews that I heard about it from vegans and non-vegans alike. However, more than enough time had past since those initial visits, so I was willing to give it another crack. This time, I will say that I was pretty impressed, the quality and range of food had definitely improved and the range of beers available was also a great boon. Despite these positives, I still feel that it is slightly over rated and I would much rather sauce my ‘up-market’ Indian street food from elsewhere (Mowgli).

Nice fast food restaurant

I liked the fact there was a vegetarian restaurant in the city centre.

The masala chai was amazing. So was the vada pav.

Okra fries were a little high on sodium.

Pros: Masala chai, Vada pav

Cons: Okra fries

Nice Indian street food!

Everything is vegetarian, most things are vegan. I particularly liked the vada pav & the okra fries but everything was very good & pretty authentic. They have a nice range of craft beers too. Well worth a look.

Pros: Tasty food, Craft ales, Fun vibe

Great selection

Loads of choice for vegans and really tasteful. Lots of little dishes like a tapas to have. Very flavourful and cheap.

They'll forget they're eating vegan

Fantastic modern Indian street food. Nice environment and great, varied selection on the menu. Great place to bring people who aren't vegan to taste food so good they forget all about meat.

Lovely food!

Great food as always and a really good range of options. It’s just a little bit too expensive for the portion size, but a treat nonetheless! We ordered off the indochinese limited edition menu, and the food was lovely.

Amazing, but stairs

Bundobust is always a hit, even with my meat-eating friends and family. There's so many vegan options.

The only downside is the accessibility - there's a flight of stairs to go down to enter the restaurant

Pros: Tasty

Cons: Accessibility

Great flavours 4.5 stars

Had the Paratha & Thepla which was delicious, my favourite out of the 3 dishes. Really liked the paratha and enjoyed the tomato chutney, it was similar to a nicely flavoured passata and the Achar pickle tasted like olives, so if you like that then you will like the Achar pickle.

Cobis nu shack was my second favourite, nicely sliced vegetables that actually tasked like they were pickled. Loved the pieces of ginger in it, could have had more!

Tarka dhal and rice was fine but came out quite small, the dhal was on top of the rice so for the price, I felt that this one should be bigger in portion size, although the photo on the website is accurate.

Staffs were lovely.
The menu is clearly marked regarding what is vegan and what is vegetarian.
The place is quirky, not a fan of the benches though, too hard.

Delicious Indian street food

Went for lunch midweek and it was very empty. Got the lunch express menu which is good value for money. Wide range of vegan options - would definitely recommend getting okra fries (they were amazing)!!!

Delicious & allergen friendly!

It’s actually disgraceful that I lived in Manchester most of my life and only now have visited Bundobust 😅 Visited with friends and the food was incredible - everyone’s food arrived at the same time despite it being a very large order!

So many gluten-free & vegan options available, I was actually a bit overwhelmed with the choice at first as I normally only have one or two menu choices to choose from! One friend also has a nut allergy and this was catered for with no problem at all - staff were very helpful.

Couldn’t recommend more and will be back in the future.

Pros: Great with allergens, Lots of vegan options, Lots of gluten-free options
