Small cosy place. Good location very close to the cathedral. Very friendly and welcoming and good food. There were lots of specials to choose from as well as the menu.

The menu clearly displays the 100% plant-based options, and there is also a vegan brunch.
After my breakfast at Origin, I ate lightly, but I'll definitely try the brunch next time!
I tried the tomato soup of the day, which was very appetizing.
Then, I couldn't leave without trying the chocolate. A vegan chocolate mousse with a great texture and a delicious taste that delighted my taste buds!
The decor is like a large chocolate grocery store with lots of references to different brands.
I had the chance to meet Audrey, who took over the bistro a few years ago.
You can feel her passion for plant-based dishes and chocolate, and it's a real success. I highly recommend this place!

Ich bin vegan und wurde definitiv fündig. Die veganen Optionen waren deutlich ausgeschildert und Vieles konnte auch in einer veganen Variante bestellt werden. Die Mitarbeitenden waren äußerst freundlich und konnten sogar deutsch sprechen. Wir haben uns nett unterhalten. Ich hatte eine heiße Schokolade mit Sojamilch und veganer Schlagcreme sowie eine Zitronentarte. Mein Freund einen veganen Macaron und einen Kaffee mit Sojamilch. Es war alles super lecker. 10/10 veganen Punkten

J'ai payé presque 9euros : 7 euros le chocolat supplément lait vegan supplément chantilly vegan totalement ratée. Franchement rapport qualité prix très médiocre.
Je n'ai pas pris de pâtisseries mais celles proposées étaient toutes vegan.
Dommage que le lieu ne soit pas 100% vegan.

Delicious homemade vegan cakes/pastries but the coffee could've been stronger (cafe au lait and cappuccino). They had a lot of chocolate milk options, also vegan. Perhaps that would've been a better choice. Very friendly staff, speaks French, German and English. It was very busy inside so we sat outside, it was a bit chilly but they had blankets and were very quick with the coffees.

Hier gibt es Frühstück und Mittagessen. Sehr viele vegane Optionen, die wirklich gut sind. Vor allem die Auswahl an Trinkschokolade ist hervorragend. Man kann sich alles mit Milchalternativen zubereiten lassen. Es war ein zufälliger Fund, da es nicht rein als vegan ausgezeichnet war. Einen Besuch ist es wert.

We came along for an afternoon coffee and cake break and really enjoyed the calm atmosphere outside right around the corner of the busy oldtown. The coffee was good and you could choose between different types of plant based milk (soy and almond). All the cakes were vegan and mostly without gluten as well. We tried the lemon tarte and some fancy looking almond orange ball. Everything was very delicious. :)

I had the vegan brunch and liked the variaty of small things and tastes. Not everything was a 10/10. I didn't need the pickled vegetables and the lentils were quite tasteless and couldn't make me happy (i love lentils). But the mousse au chocolate and the crumble was perfect. Also the leekthing was really special and i appriciate their effort to create things, you won't be able to get everywhere.

Read moreI usually don’t leave negative reviews for restaurants, but in this case, I was a bit disappointed. We ordered burgers, as you can see from the pictures, and they were rather bland. The burgers tasted like nothing at all, which is unfortunate because that’s usually what makes a burger good. They weren’t terrible, just completely tasteless. The accompanying salad also lacked flavor, and the roasted potatoes with marinated carrots were equally bland. The coffee was passable, but even that wasn’t great. The staff was friendly, though.
What bothered me additionaly, though, was the proximity of the open kitchen to the restroom. It was completely open, with doors and windows wide open, which struck me as somewhat unhygienic.

Always love the pastries and the amount of gluten free options too! They are very gourmet. And for the first time I went there for lunch and had the burger which I really liked, the patty was surprisingly uncommon and really tasty!

Cozy little Café with amazing tartes - Edit
We had vegan burgers and a caramel chocolate tarte as dessert. Even though it was packed, the service was nice and fast. The burgers were okay though might not be the taste of someone who expects a meat-like burger and personally i found them too mushy, my company liked them. The sides were roasted vegetables which fit surprisingly well.
Read moreNow to the dessert: The tarte was maybe one of the best desserts I ever had. I will definately come back just for the dessert the next time I'm in Strassbourg. The crust was crunchy but not dry, the filling was creamy and the caramel inside complemented the ensemble perfectly. Go there, try it, you won't regret it.
PS: We can't speak french but the whole staff was really nice about it and able to to help us in english.

Happy mit diesem Café, es gibt Soya und Mandel-Milchersatz und…. so lecker vegane Küchlein. Absolut zu empfehlen. Mittagstisch und Dinner gibt es auch in vegan.

Classic French Cafe Experience - Edit
We loved this little French cafe and rushed in here to grab some lunch and shelter from the sudden rainstorm. We ordered a coconut based vegetable curry which we both really enjoyed. We followed this up with a jasmine tea and several cakes.
