Nice place - Edit
Beautiful terrace in front of the bistrot. I ordered the fondant au chocolat, which was described with a liquid core. There was no liquid core, however is was a quite nice desert, but overpriced for the quality.

Meh - Edit
Meh. Expensive meh.
Read moreHave only had the vegan brunch but it cost €23.50 and was a platter of unrelated dips with a pile of lettuce leaves in the middle and overly sweet, bland desserts on the side.
The quinoa actually tasted off.
Will go back to try the lemon tart as I'm a sucker for lemon tart, but brunch was the worst meal we've had in Strasbourg so far.
Very disappointing.
Cons: Expensive, Few vegan meal options, Poor meal design, flavours don't mix

Brunch excellent - Edit
J’y suis allé à trois reprises, deux goûters et un brunch. Tout à toujours était parfait, surtout le brunch qui était incroyable. Mon ami omnivore a apprécié ce qu’il a mangé également (du végétarien).

We had a vegan pasta (it was very average) and vegan burger (it was good, and I loovveee the grilled root vegetables). They also serve vegan dessert that is not too mainstream.

kitchen is closed, no initial notice. - Edit
Like many vegan restaurants, they don't know how to manage their place. I gave up a brunch in another place that had a vegan option, forg this place. I walked 20 minutes just to discover an empty restaurant, with a nice Waiter telling me that the cook is not here! She has only pastries to sell. I'm hungry! I don't want a pastry . A restaurant that can't serve food shouldn't be open.

Great place with lots of options - Edit
This place provided a great veg/vegan brunch that even satisfies my normally very carnivorous husband. Lots of options and everything was delicious, make the wait and price worth it!

Excellent - Edit
I've been traveling for ten days at the time of writing, and the vegan brunch here has been my favorite holiday meal so far. It contained no fewer than 16 different items (including two drinks), most of them rather good. Don't miss this.

Delicious, but not cheap - Edit
The bistro is located near the cathedral, so it's a great spot if you're hungry after sightseeing. The first day, we wanted to go there in the evening (7), but unfortunately they were just closing up. We returned the next day in the afternoon and I had a heavenly Fondant au chocolat. It cost 8 €, which is not cheap, but worth it, but my dad's café au lait cost 6 €, which I found quite expensive. Also, we had to wait for a long time until the waiter brought us a menu and again for the check, so you should bring some time with you. However, I think the food is worth it.

Great Sunday brunch - Edit
Popped in here on a hunch and got a table for 2 after only a couple minutes of waiting. Great selection of sweet and savory brunch items, with one fully vegan brunch plate. The staff was polite but not overly friendly; perhaps the only slightly negative remark, otherwise everything was terrific. Would definitely go back!

Very pricey for the size of a hot chocolate. Don't get me wrong, it was really good, but 7 euros for a glass isn't for low budget.

Beautiful place in Strasbourg! - Edit
I went here twice and both times I found delicious food and nice service. They had a vegan dish of the day (but they do have a few nice all-vegan options) and a fixed dessert. They do have also a few different desserts. Maybe a bit expensive but totally worth it.

so/so food but unkind service - Edit
Despite having chocolate in their name, the vegan desserts here are terrible; dry and no flavor. I tried the Burger Sucre, molten cake, and forest noir and all were bland and disappointing.
Read moreCame in here for a meal and was satisfied with it all, except for the dessert. Returned a second time and ordered the falafel. I took one bite and it was not very good so I asked to return it and they rudely refused. I was shocked considering it was my second time returning to their restaurant (and it was the same waitress who took care of me). She was very dry and blunt and almost aggressive about me not liking my dish when she had been sickly sweet just moments ago. Then after another tasteless dessert, I never came back.

Reservation is a must for Sunday brunch. Finally we found a place with great vegetarian food. You get many little things, everything home made. Would come back again, when visiting Strasbourg again.

We ate vegan risotto and a tomato soup, very good both them, but the risotto is better, very recommended. Too they have more vegan options in day menu, for example that day they had vegan paella and lasagna, but this depends of day.

Lovely place - Edit
Everytime my husband and I visit Straßbourg (which is quite often) we eat at Bistrot & Chocolat. Within the week they have a different 'plat du jour' each day, which we always chose if it`s vegan. Other than that there are two warm vegan meals on the menu (a veggie burger with salad and potatoes as a side) and a vegan pasta = both are delicious.
Read moreIf you want a vegan dessert, you can check with the waiter/waitress to make a 100% sure since it´s not always declared vegan in the menu.
I personally love the chocolate fondue cake with raspberry icecream but I wish there was more vegan options on the menu.
I still love this place because it´s a cozy place with yummy food and friendly staff.

Popular place - Edit
I was in Strasbourg at an unusually warm time in February and sat outside on their patio, which soon became full. They have a great menu and the place is obviously well-loved by locals. The downside of this busy-ness is that the service was really rushed and not great. It's well-located between the back corner of the cathedral and the river.
