Fantastic - Edit
This place is truly magical! For dinner time they shut off the lights and put candles on each table. I was served a huge organic vegan plate of rice with six different types of vegetables and sauce. The rice contained cashew nuts, the veggies were mixed raw and cooked. The various biologic sauces satisfied the sweet, sour and spicey taste buds at an equal level! The ecologic vegetarian dish contained colifor, pumpkin, kale and peas. After the veg rice dish they served a veggie apple crumble dessert powdered with cinnamon. On the side of the plate they put ginger chips and they served a delicious starter bread 🍞 with a glass of red grape juice. The restaurant had a cultural lecture going on in the other room where they share books and knowledge about culture. On the walls we can find various paintings and in the entrance there are small statues of Indian gods like Krishna and Ganesha. Altogether a truly kind and friendly atmosphere. I will definitely recommend this ayurvedic place to any vegetarian or anyone who is interested in the Indian culture. See you again as soon as possible!

A good place for a lunch break while visiting - Edit
Good, homely Indian-inspired food. Staff is super friendly and happy to explain their ideas (they also have a library where you can borrow books on Ayurveda, oriental philosophy etc). Not the most sophisticated meal you will have but a good place to have a lunch break while visiting the City (most restaurants around seem tourist crap).

Good but a confusing conversation! - Edit
We arrived for a late lunch. We asked what was vegan and they said brown rice and vegetables so we said we’d have that. They didn’t have any soup. Then they gave us the menu and perhaps 10 minutes later asked what we wanted. We said brown rice and vegetables. I’m sure the confusion as due to me not speaking Italian. Anyway we were given brown rice, chutney and vegetables. It was tasty and the staff were nice but they seemed to charge 13 euros even though that was the price to include soup and salad. We were a bit confused. Anyway it was nice and I would recommend as some restaurants close after a certain time. I probably should have queries the price.

Mediocre Indian food - Edit
The place is cozy and quiet. The prices are pretty high for the food that they serve. Simple pilau rice and a bit of curry with chutney that has pieces of pit is around 12 euro. Atmosphere is OK but doesn't feel too welcoming. Also has nothing to do with ajurvedic food. Just plain simple Indian vegetarian. That's it.

We had such a cosy and peaceful evening in this restaurant/library. The food was absolutely delicious and everything was vegan except for a few meals that included yogurt. The staff was very attentive and will make sure to accommodate your diet.

Kind staff, tasty wholesome food - Edit
We arrived in Roma late and came here after ten pm. They put together a dish from the leftovers that a was a kind of a Dahl soup with brown rice. Truly delicious. Very kind of staff to feed us so close to closing time. We also had carob cake and apricot crumble for dessert, beautiful dishes. Very well priced too. Would highly recommend.

Mmmmm - Edit
The restaurant was super cozy and the waiters were very nice and helpful. They gave us an amazing meal of menu because I'm vegan and my friend is allergic to tomatoes. They handled it super nice and gave this delicious meal. The portions were very big, we couldn't finish a dish for two persons with the three of us.

Quirky place with good food. - Edit
It's not that difficult to find, Google maps take you straight there.
Read moreService is a bit slow, the chef lady was on her own until a waiter arrived at 13:00.
I had soup which was very tasty followed by a dosa, it didn't look hugely attractive on the plate but the content of freshly cooked green vegetables and potatoes was excellent. 15 euros which was ok as it was a substantial meal.
Definitely recommend but don't expect fast food.

awesome samsosas! - Edit
Went for lunch on a hot hot day ( would not recommend- the food is warm so can not be enjoyed fully, a cooler day or evening would have allowed us to enjoy the food more!!) and it was really good. Very calm relaxed vibe, not too many people, but very overly waiters. We had the soup of the day (which was pea with pistachio cream I think and delicious!! So good!), the lentil/vegetable balls which were also very good but quite heavy and the samosas which were amazing! Would definitely go again on a cooler day

Relaxed, quirky. - Edit
Not the widest choice of food on the menu, but then that isn;t their 'sales pitch'. Its a restaurant at the back of a bookshop/meeting room. Very friendly, reasonably tasty food - whilst not being outstanding. Price slightly not he high side for what you get (but it is Rome, which is pricey).

Lovely Lunch - Edit
We went to this restaurant for lunch after doing some sight seeing in the area, at first we went right past it on the street because it is quite tucked away! When you walk in it doesn't look like a restaurant but to your right is the entrance.
Read moreThe service at first was VERY bad, they saw us, we sat down and must have waited 5-10 whole minutes for them to even bring us the menu. Once we ordered the food it took a very long time for it to come as well (at least 15 minutes). There was only us and one other table, not busy at all.
BUT when the food came it was amazing! We ordered curried vegetables with chapatis and samosas with salad and we split our meals to try both and they were so delicious! And very filling, big portions.
For two meals and litre of water it was 32 euros, so a bit expensive, but it was very delicious. It was in a lovely little room with lots of paintings.
Pros: Delicious Food, Lovely atmosphere
Cons: Quite 'tucked away', Slow service

Thank you so much for your review. We're sorry about the slow service, Rome is languorous in August. Most places are closed or working with half of normal staff (our case). We're happy you enjoyed the food. We use all organic, fresh ingredients and consider our prices quite fair for the quality of the food we serve which is prepared 'al momento'. We hope you'll stop by again when in Rome and let us make up for the inadequate service you received.

Ayurvedic food in the heart of Rome - Edit
Ayurvedic food is created to be balanced for the body, rather than overloading with spices and flavour - so don't go expecting regular Indian food. When I went around 1pm, it was packed with locals on their lunch break. I had the Thali which is a plate of rice and several small dishes. It was served with a bowl of bread, which was homemade and delicious. The menu is a mixture of vegetarian and vegan, but the cakes are almost all vegan. I tried the zucchini cake with spices and toasted almonds, and the apple crumble. If you're in Rome and want a break from pizza and pasta, Bibliothe is the perfect choice.

Favourite food in rome - Edit
We love this place. It's our special place for celebrations and anniversaries. We always get the large thali (made vegan) which is usually too much food by the end of the meal but looking at the other dishes served at nearby tables all the dishes look delicious.
Read moreWe've both spent a lot of time in India and have studied ayurveda and love what this place is about - from the opening dips to the accompanying juice (so flavoursome) to the main dish and dessert. Even the digestive tea to finish is served in a beautiful tea pot and is perfect.
The service has always been very polite and helped us as we still learn Italian. The waiter sometimes explains the dish and ingredients. In the other room there is an Indian / yoga library which one can become a member of very easily and there are often lectures taking place which totally add to the charm of the place and the ambience is lovely and intimate.
It is vegetarian with the option to be made vegan which was perfect. Out of 6 desserts I think 4 or 5 were vegan.
Couldn't recommend it any more!
Pros: Can be made vegan, Unique food & experience, Great vibe

best indian thali I ever had - Edit
A thali is a dish consisting of many small dishes served on a large metal plate with small cups. Perhaps not surprisingly, when you order a thali, it can take quite a while before it is served, as all dishes need to be prepared. So it happened that me and my partner did not get our dishes served at the same time. Perhaps this was due to a misunderstanding by the waiter, since he may have thought we would share the dish.
Read moreBut this was all totally compensated by the fantastic taste of the dish and its quantity. I think this was the best Indian food I ever had.
If you have the time and the cash, this comes highly recommended
Pros: absolutely great taste
Cons: EXPENSIVE, dishes not served at same time
