Went here with my non-veg sister, and we both really enjoyed it. The rainbow roll was delicious, the “beef” dumplings were amazing and the sauce was the best.

Loved the sushi, but the tap water is top tier. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and our waitress was telling us about their amazing tap water. I didn't fully believe her at first that it was really worth a long yelp review, but it was actually really good! 10/10 go here sometime!

The buffalo cauliflower wings are perfectly cooked and crispy.
Though if you want a really good treat, try the hickory burger! It has an incredible vegan feta over it that will make you keep on coming back!

After reading all the 5 star reviews here, I was anticipating, and expecting an outstanding dining experience. In short, it wasn't. I ordered the coconut curry soup to start. It was lukewarm, and cooled off rapidly since we were dining outside and it's autumn in NYC. Next up were the buffalo cauliflower wings. These are supposed to be crispy on the outside, but these weren't. Flavors were fine, but texture missed the mark. The spanakopita and spicy shroom wrap were fine, though I didn't get the taste of feta coming through in the spanakopita. My sister ordered the chili mushroom soup, and it was also lukewarm, and extremely salty. I heartily recommend the lemon almond cake for dessert, though. Just be prepared for typical NYC prices; it costs $12.

Cheap, fast and oh so tasty. This NY chain of plant based sushi and Japanese influenced dishes is my default lunch spot when Looking for a bite between shows, museums or walking in the park. Artful plates, with lots of flavour. I dream of a time when Beyond Sushi is in every city.

Can’t go wrong here the rolls are so unique and delicious and the rice paper wraps are my go to lunch. The soups are the most flavorful things ever as well. The price point can get a bit high but it’s worth it because other sushi places never have this kind of variety for veg sushi options. The dumplings are pretty tasty as well. ALSO, get the spanakopita! I haven’t had it since I’ve gone vegan and beyond sushi does it sooooo well!

I’ve been to a few vegan sushi places in the US including one with a cult following but I think Beyond Sushi is the best so far. I tried a few things from the menu and they were all pretty good but the sushi rolls were the stars. Friendly, but slow, service.
