rite of passage - Edit
I feel like By Chloe has been the go-to spot for vegan fast casual in recent years. Most of my friends have tried their first ever veganized food item thanks to By Chloe! But as overpriced/overhyped as it gets for vegans that know better options in NYC (thanks HappyCow!), By Chloe holds a special place in my heart for whenever I'm downtown and looking for food that even my omni friends won't detest. Anyway, the Quinoa Taco Salad, Kale Artichoke Dip, and Mac n' Cheese have made it in our rotations. My personal favorites, however, are the Air Baked Fries with their dipping sauces, and their Smoothie Bowls.

Was Decent - Edit
After a long day of walking my cousin and I decided on going here for a quick bite. I ordered the Mac and Cheese. I didn’t like the “bacon” bits on top but overall it was a decent meal. It was surprisingly creamy for being vegan and the cheese wasn’t repulsive. I’d recommend giving it a try, and it’s good in a pinch, but there is also better.

Very Excellent - Edit
So I entered into Rockefeller Plaza and found my way walking down the steps to get to the location which wasn’t a big deal but the entrance that way could’ve been a bit easier. Having said that I decided to try the Guac Burger which wasn’t that big but it’s the best veg burger I’ve ever had. It wasn’t hard and was easy to eat. They sell everything separate so if I wanted to get fries I’d need to order from the sides menu. I think they should have meal options.
Read moreThe food was pricy but that’s what you get when eating in NYC and midtown at that.
5 star for me!
Pros: Everything’s vegan, The Guac Burger , Nice folks
Cons: Expensive as heck

There are better places around - Edit
Sadly, I would not recommend this place. Prices do not correspond to the quality comparing to other vegan places around. Shiitake mushrooms were burned completely. Pancakes were undercooked. Giving one star for a pesto meatboll sandwich.

“Meh” - Edit
Was pretty disappointed with my plain/dry $10 veggie burger. Wouldn’t go back when there are so many other vegan places in NY that blew me away!

Vegan comfort food - Edit
Delicious selection of vegan comfort food. We had the Mac and cheese, meatball sandwich and BLT. All delicious and tasty - the shiitake bacon is WOW. And the Mac and cheese was better than any I had before going vegan. Loads of delivery companies stopped by so it’s obviously a popular place with locals too. Not only that but the service was good. There was a mix up with our order but the manager went out of her way to make things right. A

Pleasantly Surprised. Worth the visit - Edit
Looking for a vegan place in NYC that would be quick and wouldn’t break the bank. I have never tried Vegan fast food and was skeptical.
Read moreWe arrived right before their lunch rush. There are paper menus you can grab at the door (or not). Seat your self. Immediately I noticed how open, clean and airy it was. A large community table in the middle and more intimate tables along the perimeter.
There was a line but it went quick. The staff are all super nice, respectful, helpful and efficient. Once you order, you have the option to pass along your cell number so you can receive a text when your order is ready. A plus!
We had the of the minestrone soup, a GF Guac burger, and some treats. All were delicious and fresh. The food was served in bio degradable paper based wrappings. The only negative is that drinks are still in plastic, plastic straws and the “to go” orders were placed in plastic bags (all which can be avoided). I challenge the company to be more sustainable in these areas. Besides this, it was a great experience with a young vibe. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and will return.
Oh, They also had “home” baked PB bones for Fido. Another nice touch.
Pros: Young Vibe, Extremely courteous staff , Quick and great Tasting
Cons: Use of plastic bags for their to go meals, Use of plastic utensils

Great location, one of the best vegan places in NYC - Edit
I love their paper straws, beet ketchup and chipotle aioli. Yes, it is always busy, but they have a great system to serve well walk-in customer and to customer who ordered online. The service was on point and fast (no cash transactions!). Refreshing lemonade, guac burger and Mac n’ Cheese made perfect picnic in Central Park.

Creative Take on Classic Dishes - Edit
An interesting take on mac n' cheese, burgers, salads, etc. This location didn't have much left in their kitchen, I guess, so the options were a little limited. We liked the beet ketchup!

Great - Edit
We tried a lot of different things and they where almost perfect, but the Mac n cheese was pretty bland and the Caesar salad didn’t have enough dressing. But it’s a really pretty place with delicious food in general. I loved my bbq burger!

Love the food, shame about the disposables - Edit
I came here for lunch today (I had the Whiskey BBQ burger with sweet potato fries, lemonade and a rainbow cookie) - the food was delicious and the cookie was one of the best I’ve ever eaten, but I was really disappointed that even food for eating in came with disposable plates, cups and cutlery.

Mostly Good Vegan Food - Kind of Hit or Miss - Edit
I work near this location so often go with coworkers for lunch. It is a very popular lunch spot so can get very crowded for lunch sometimes. If you are visiting NYC and want to stop by By Chloe I would recommend one of the other locations due to the business.
Read moreThe cupcakes are awesome! Some of my favorite lunch items are the sweet potato fries with chipotle sauce, guac burger, taco salad and Caesar salad with tempeh. I haven't had the pesto pasta or mac and cheese but have heard good things!
Some items are a little over seasoned or over sweetened in my opinion. For example, the Thai salad is way too sugary and the beet ketchup is not great. Overall I would recommend By Chloe, just maybe try a few different menu items to see what works for you!

The food is delicious - Edit
Delicious as in every "By Chloe" place. This one I liked least because of its location (next to Rockefeller Plaza, a lot of random tourists) and the decoration (the restaurant is very big but with a lot of empty space, it reminded me McDonalds a bit...)

By Chloe is always great food and fast. So many options and perfect place for non vegans as well. My dad is a big meat eater and he loves this place so we always go. I love the Mac and cheese as well as the guac burger. Their CBD infused brownie is also yummy.
