Almost no vegan options - Edit
I am quite surprised to see all those good reviews. I came to this restaurant, as it is vegetarian, and thought I will have a few vegan options. But that was not the case. They explained to me that in their soups and sauces, they use ready-made powder, which is not vegan. In the batter, they use eggs. So I could only have those rolls. It also took 5 people to explain to me that their food is not vegan. Good that I asked, and they were honest about it.
Read moreEdit: After I had finished the starter, another employee came and asked if I would like to have a bowl with rice noodles and greens. I accepted and ate it. Without any sauce. That was kind, but for this, I don't need to go to a vegetarian restaurant. I can get this everywhere.

Meh - Edit
Don’t get me wrong, I really like Vietnamese food after living in Vietnam for 5 years, but these fancy Vietnamese restaurants are always disappointing for me because they serve food that’s different from everyday vegetarian food. I wish they would just have mì xào and redbull.

Elegant decor, some excellent food some ok food, high prices - Edit
Excellent decor, spacious dining room, extensive menu.
Read moreWe ordered:
-Hanoi tofu: excellent
-Vegan hot pot: so so
-braised mushroom with lemon grass chili: excellent
-braised mushroom and tofu with black pepper sauce: avg
-Stir fried mushroomswith fries: average
-stir fried vegetable fern with black garlic: excellent
-Hue noodle with beech mushroom soup: good
-Purple rice
-white rice
-Vegan cake platter: interesting, some of us liked it, some didn’t
I have a prominent vegan podcast and we order a great deal from the menu so I can give a hefty opinion everywhere we go.
I would come back and order:
-Hanoi tofu
-Stirfried vegetable fern with black garlic
-purple rice
-Hue noodle with beech mushroom soup: good
All in all a good place, some prices were silly: 100k for a bowl or rice that feeds 2 is ridiculous for anywhere in Vietnam.
There is far better vegan food for the cost in Saigon a few km from here (on HappyCow and google)
Pros: Dining rooms, Hanoi tofu, Ambiance
Cons: Price for rice, Serving size

Way too much egg and milk used - Edit
There’s actually few choices that are vegan. The quality of the food doesn’t justify the already excessive prices before the VAT and service is added that’s shown at the bottom of the menu in the tiniest font I’ve ever seen. Even by Vietnamese small fonts this is impressive (and not in a good way). Definitely won’t be back. There’s far better places available when paying these prices.

Vegan fine dining - Edit
Fine dining restaurant which appears to be ?fully vegan. Friendly staff with very quick service. Definitely pricey but that is to be expected at an upmarket place. Lovely atmosphere perfect for date night.

High end vegan food with amazing flavours - Edit
I visited the other Be An in Ben Nghe ward when I was in Saigon last year, but this one opened up since near the office. Had a special occasion lunch here and it was excellent. Really like the internal decor. The menu is huge so good luck deciding what to get.
Read morePrice is up there and serving sizes aren't huge, but this is one for if you're feeling a bit more fancy.
