Wasn't sure if I'd have time to eat here and was sad but made it work and kind of wish I hadn't, seitan sandwich was big and really good but the mushroom croquetas were almost inedible. Maybe an off day?

Me quedé con ganas de ir más veces y seguir probando cosas de la carta, cuando volvamos por Madrid volveremos a ir.
Consejo: ir pronto o dispuestos a esperar con buena actitud, ya que es un local muy frecuentado y se llena rápido. Nosotros fuimos a las 20:10 recién abiertos para cenar y nos sentamos sin esperas, pero enseguida tuvieron cola en la puerta.

Me encanta este sitio. Los chicos son majísimos, la comida riquísima, raciones abundantes, muy buen ambiente. El bocadillo de chorizo y la tarta de queso en tarro impresionantes. Los calamares también muy ricos. La veganesa riquísima. (Las fotos están hechas con la comida a medio comer, por eso parece poco).

We were welcomed with a smile from the beginning. The people were nice and the food was yummy. I enjoyed having a homemade burger again. Good size portions. We would definitely come here again. I only wish they were open a little earlier for dinner but oh well. This is Spain

We were glad we came relatively early (in the evening) as it filled up pretty quickly and there were people waiting outside. We would have liked to try pretty much everything on the menu, with vegan versions of so many classic tapas, and loved what we had: choripapas, a piece of tortilla (so big!), mushroom and garlic croquetas, and an escalope (lovely tender seitan).
Read moreWe came back a second time as soon as it opened for lunch, and we weren’t the first to arrive and wait for the doors to open. Within minutes it was packed. This time we had salchichas al vino, a perrito (hotdog) and a bocadillo with seitan a la plancha and peppers. Again everything was fantastic and it was a lot of food.
And again the staff was very friendly.
Unfortunately they didn't have calamari, on either our first or second visit.

A typical bar in which you can eat Spanish omelette, calamari rings, bravas, sandwiches, etc by a very fair price and spending little time. Besides, all the food is so delicious, specially the vegan potato omelette, BEST I've ever tried.

THE place for vegan food - Edit
This place is such a classic. If you have one meal in Madrid I highly suggest this is the place. Vegan versions of Spanish food. I have been again and again and everything I’ve tried on the menu is banging! The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are always super nice. The atmosphere is punk and anarchist which I love.

The calamari is so realistic that every non vegan I’ve taken there is surprised! My friends even liked them better vegan.

Don't expect whole healthy food, you're here cause the amazing flavour. It's not something I considered bad btw.
They play punk and hardcore so is pretty wild for people who love this music. I fuckn love it!
Overall it's a total five stars. You have to go there at least once!

Stopped by this spot because we heard from guide it was good. Super popular spot but we managed a table anyway, but those who were later in afternoon either waited or left. Set up for groups of 2 and 4. Full vegan comfort food menu with good portion size and lower prices. Tastes were good and made to order. Not super exciting flavors but tasty and filling. Our only complaint was the sound volume. Between the music volume and everyone shouting over each other it wasn't a place to be able to chat while you ate. We actually measured volume at 80 to 85dB. I know hearing protection is not a thing in Spain but feel sorry for the staff who will have hearing loss from it. If you don't mind club volume then you are fine to visit. Vibe other than that is all welcome which is refreshing.
