I’ve been here a few times now and I love this restaurant. I have to say that I love this type of food, but I’ve been here with non vegan and vegetarian friends and they were all quite pleased. Also the prices are affordable which makes it way better.

Edit 2024: B13 has continued to change and adapt. Their menu is still amazing, prices are still affordable, and they have grown a lot. Expect to wait for a table, and for food. Totally worth it! Try their calamares (squid rings) and onion rings, both amazing!
Read moreI came here with a non-veg friend and we both were extremely satisfied with our meals, and comfortably stuffed. The staff is very friendly, and though the decor is not the best, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and the place is full of locals. Since there were a lot of people, service was not speedy, but it was worth the wait. Don't come here expecting a delicious fancy meal. It's perfect when you just don't want to cook or pay very much for a meal out. We had a huge burger, a huge side of fries and a beer for 5 euro, which is an excellent price for Madrid. I will definitely go back and try all their menu! I wouldn't get so turned off by the location. Yes, there are sex workers, but it's not a sketchy street at all, and the neighborhood is quite nice.

We tried this place with another vegan couple and it was one of the nicest nights out we have had in a while. Apart from having great conversations with like-minded people, we shared the pleasure of treating ourselves to great Spanish junk food. We had a marvellous night thanks to the ambiance and the amazing food. This place is packed and you either come before they open or wait for an hour because it's that good! If you are in Madrid, make sure to check this place out :-)

The portions were very cheap, tasty and large. Just what I need from bar food. The service was one of the best I've had ever, even thought the restaurant was very busy and hectic. I would definetly come here often If I lived in madrid. The drinks were also good and the service was fast.

A Must-Visit for the Travelling Vegan - Edit
There are many stand-outs with this bar: the very affordable pricing, charming atmosphere, delicious food, and great variety being some of them. The atmosphere is very activist, with political messaging on stickers and posters, as well as advertisements for leftist events being posted on the inside.
Read moreThe burger I had, while somewhat simple, was very tasty, and I liked their (presumably) homemade patty, with beans and rice as a basis. There are also have a plethora of clearly labeled gluten-free meals, including at least one burger (can't remember) and other dishes.
The service was quick and friendly, apart from the great variety of food (including burgers, veganised spanish dishes, and some desserts) they also have a good choice of craft beers. The prices are really very affordable for the center of Madrid, but regardless of your budget, you should definitely pay this place a visit.
