Amazing Service, good food - Edit
We had the Taco Rice and the ‘cheese’ burger, both were good. Cozy place/location and excellent service made the overall experience great.

Good date spot - Edit
The "Journeys" are what an employee of an Ain Soph Ripple described to me as the "fancy shmancy ones." It's a nice place for a little date, but also just a good place to eat because everything we tried was thumbs up.
Read moreFoodwise, there's Japanese takes on American food, and a smidge of just vegan takes on Japanese food. Tried:
* Katsu burger (Katsu traditionally being panko-fried chicken), crispy with a sweet tangy sauce, came with fries
* Burger. I'd give it a rating of "delicious" but edged out by how different the katsu burger was for us
* Spanish omelette really tasted like a Tortilla Española, good thick eggy consistency and a good amount of potatoes
* karaage (traditionally Japanese fried chicken).
* Taco salad, comes with a full cup of rice layered with taco toppings.
Also tried the sangria: fruity, not too sweet, but could've come with more wine in the glass. My regret is not having tried their parfaits, but there's hopefully a next time in Japan soon.
Pros: Vegan, Cute

The fried chicken - Edit
Was amazing! I literally forgot I wasn’t eating real meat. Also the sandwiches (burger with avocado and coconut cheese and a fake ham melt) were great! We caught it right before closing and they were still very accommodating.

Delicious - Edit
My wife and I ate here back-to-back days during our stay in Kyoto. Everything was good, but especially the Taco Bowl. One time there was a 20 min wait but we spent it wandering the nearby market, so it was actual a blessing. Semi-expensive but reasonable.

Great place! - Edit
Had the cutler burger and it was amazing. Very juicy with a delicious flavor. Tip for the dessert, share it, because they are very heavy (but tasteful). The place can be crowded, because it’s not that spacious.

100% cute vegan restaurant - Edit
Yummy food. A good selection. I had the fried crumbed ham style burger. I felt a bit sickly after because it wasn't the healthiest. Should have gone with a lovely fresh bowl.

Delicious vegan food - Edit
All vegan, and very delicious. We came back two times while in Kyoto, we had the matcha pancakes which were divine and the hamburger and cutlet burger which both were amazing. The palak paneer was okay but not the best one we had,

Loved it - Edit
In our trip around Japan we visited 3 different Ain Soph, all of them are good but this one was our favourite. We tried the chicken burguer and the "ham" one, both were great but the second one had more flavour. You can order them with fries and the size of this side dish is a bit small but with the burguer you don't end up hungry, or if you do... there are desserts! We were full so we couldn't try them.
Read moreWe went on Saturday around 8.00PM and had no problem to get a table, we liked the place so much that we tried to go again on Sunday around the same time and there was a sign saying they couldn't accommodate more people😒so maybe booking is recommended after all.
The ambience and staff are nice, very clean place. Would love to go again some day!
Pros: Great textures and flavours, nice ambience, friendly staff
Cons: You may need to book in advance

Highly recommended - Edit
A lovely place. We visited twice in two days, trying all of the burgers and enjoying them all. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed, and the service is fairly quick even when busy. The desserts looked amazing but unfortunately I was too full from the mains to try them!

So tasty, and great portions! - Edit
We shared the veggie burger special and taco salad - burger was really good as were chips and salad sides, taco salad came with really nice rice & soy meat type stuff (which I don’t usually like but this was tasty!) Would definitely come again but share 1 portion between 2 (we couldn’t finish both) and get a dessert next time!

The „chicken“ Burger with tartar sauce was really awesome. Staff speaks English and menu is also in English. They also serve free infused water (today it was lemon). We can absolutely recommend this restaurant, we will go there again during our stay in Kyoto.

As good as in Tokyo - Edit
We've been to one of their locations in Tokyo as well. This time we ordered the crispy "chicken" burger which was very good too. Unfortunately the fries that came with it were just too few so I had to order an extra portion fries afterwards.

Pros: delicious as usual for an Ain Soph location, very cute and friendly waitress, great cheesecake

Amazing !!! - Edit
I had the mushroom curry with rice and it was delicious. The sweetcorn soup was even better - probably the best soup I’ve ever had! The service was really quick and friendly. I was over the moon to find somewhere vegan as I have been doing a tour around Japan and it has been difficult to find things to eat at times. Definitely would recommend the food and it feels great to be able to support a wholly vegan restaurant.
