A hidden gem with a unique charm - Edit
The restaurant is located in the 20th arrondissement, a diverse and lively district in eastern Paris.
Read moreThe interior design had a vibrant mix of colors and textures, the black roof was adorned with chalk writings in Amharic (Ethiopian script) and the memorable phrase 'Here, we eat with our fingers' succinctly conveyed the dining custom. Also the music played was a journey through the heart of Ethiopia, transporting listeners to a distant land.
The server were not only efficient but also exuded a genuine warmth and politeness that made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
I had the yetsom beyaynetu, the "Tasting Dish" that had assorted vegetables like haricot verts, roasted beetroot, salad and more together with two flavorful and hearty lentil stews, spiced with berbere and chili, served with, and on, some sort of injera-like flatbread.
The cost was surprisingly low for the quality of the food. This place is a hidden gem. You won't be disappointed.
Would give a 5 of 5 if I could.
Pros: Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere, Unique and Flavorful Cuisine, Affordable and Good Value
Cons: Lack of Detailed Menu Descriptions, Maybe a bit too Casual for some, The restaurant felt a bit empty during my visit

Could have been spicier - Edit
We shared a vegan mixed plate with some warm dishes and salat. The portions weren’t that big and compared to other ethopian restaurants I have been to the food wasn’t that spicy and a bit boring in the taste.

Delicious, very friendly, beautiful - Edit
First of all: you'll be amazed by their beautiful decorations, the warm welcome and nice smells.
Read moreAs for other Ethiopian places the menue isn't big, but it's plenty enough for everyone to find something. We had the avocado and tomate starter which was great, after we hot a platter with both our dishes included, vegan and meat option.
Eating Ethiopian is a social thing, it's customary to serve food of one group on a shared platter. (I personally do like the idea and do not mind my food next to vegetarian and meat dishes)
The waiter clearly pointed it where my vegan side was and which items of both were without animal products. If you join tables with omnivore friends and partners and can not stand the idea of it being served on the same plate, you should ask for a separate platter for yourself and they will do that.
The injeras are great and the overall spiciness just to my liking ( I like it 🔥 )
Pros: Delicious , Friendly , Beautiful place
Cons: A little "outside" Paris, Parking there messy ( not the owners fault)

Delicious vegan dish - Edit
I discovered ethiopian food in that restaurant and find it amazing, the spices, the way it is cooked are fabulous. Owners are very friendly. You will need to eat with your hands. Opens also for lunch since 2018.

delicious Ethiopian food in Paris - Edit
Visited this restaurant our last night in Paris. We had the vegetarian platter (Yetsom Beyaynetou) and it was amazing. Service was pretty quick (for Paris) and friendly. The menu is small, but there were at least 5 different items in the platter. It was plenty of food and we left more than satisfied. I would go again and recommend to others.
