So pleased I found this

Travelling alone and was looking for vegan options near Gambetta. Au Petit Bamako was a great find! They serve meat alongside vegetarian and a few vegan options. The staff were very happy to explain to me what was vegan, and what wasn't. Really tasty food and great soft drinks. Ask for the hot sauce if you like hot sauce! A good place to go if you're vegan, especially if you're eating with others who are not. The plantain we delicious.

Pros: Friendly staff, Nice vibe, Big portions

Lovely

So exciting to see several vegan mains on the menu: yassa, mafé, thieb! The mafé and yassa were delicious. The aloco (plantain) was really well prepared and the portion was generous. And it's not expensive at all (€32 for 2 mains, 2 aloco, 2 juices and 2 tea).

Senegalese vegan dishes

I had the alocos (plantain bananas) as appetizer, and the vegetarian Tiep as main.
The staff doesn't seem to know what vegan means; but it seems the "vegetarian" dishes are actually vegan as they said there are no eggs nor dairy in them.

I found the food, tastewise, to be very fair for the price (it was good but simple); however, the Tiep could have had a couple more vegetables in it.

Waiting time was a bit longer than usual; but the service was friendly.

If you are around the area and you don't want to go to Given, this could be a good backup. But I'd recommend having an appetizer along with the main dish.

Pros: vegan options, fair value

Cons: not all vegan
