Pleasant atmosphere and good food

Yuko is like a secret oasis tucked around the corner away from all the bustle of the city. It's just pleasant there, with all the plants and the chill music and people. Counter service: also chill. Some inside seating where there's a good chance My Neighbor Totoro will be playing on the TV, and some outside in what feels like a little private garden. They have a bunch of vegan options, most of them healthyish, kind of like old-fashioned hippie vegetarian food only tastier. I usually go for the tofu rice bowl, but the vegetable plate is the whole experience in one dish, with the addition of the little soup and cookie bites for dessert. I think of their bitter-sweet green tea strawberry cookie often.

Pros: plenty of vegan options, calming atmosphere

Cons: not open Sundays!!

Secret Urban Garden in Mid-Wilshire

This place is just off Wilshire on a small side street. It might be hard to find the place if you didn’t know it was there. This place has a nice chill vibe to it, except the order line at lunch w/ the crowd rushing to get back to work on time. After getting settled in though, this is a nice place to relax. They’re always running anime on the screen inside and of course The food is light and good. I really like the carrot ginger dressing on the salads

Pros: Huge bowls, Nice ambiance , Vegan pastries

Part of the outdoor dining area. The plants are a nice hedge blocking the view of the parking lot right next to it at Yuko Kitchen in Los Angeles

Amazzzzzin tofu rice bowl!

The tofu rice bowl was lit. the avocado sushi rolls were awesome and relatively cheap ($6!). Also the strawberry boba soda drink was awesome.

Wonderfully Healthy!

Yuko Kitchen has a variety of wonderful salads and bowls for vegan and vegetarians. The ingredients taste super fresh and there is so much care put into every dish. I can't wait to go back!!
