Amazing vegan menu, must try - Edit
Separate vegan menu with a variety of local dishes. The miso udon, tempura and strawberry soy daifuki were all delicious. The staff are very friendly and the service is fantastic. The location is just a short walk from the subway and also has parking available, if driving.

Vegan menu! - Edit
Great spot where vegan options are otherwise unavailable - they have a great variety of vegan options on a separate vegan menu (make sure you ask for it). The eggplant and tofu were standout and the Udon were very homey and hand-cut. Definitely worth stopping by!

Incredible - Edit
The staff were lovely and welcoming, the vegan menu made it easy to order and the udon was incredible. I got the miso udon and added mochi. They will offer an apron when you eat, I recommend it as I left with miso splash marks on my top 😅

It lived up to the hype—what a great restaurant! I really enjoyed two popular Nagoya specialties by Vegan and was completely satisfied. Staff were friendly and accustomed to serving foreigners too.

Classic Nagoyan food made vegan - Edit
The vegan menu is separate so make sure to ask for it. I had the misonikomi udon and it was delicious. They follow the buddhist shoujin ryouri style rules, so no garlic, onion etc. The eggplant with miso is also delicious and they have oden and veggie tempura.

Good quality and service - Edit
I appreciate their effort to be inclusive for different diets. I grew up eating Nagoya meshi (Nagoya local foods), and their foods were not perfect, but close to the original flavor. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant - Edit
Lots of seating considering the location and they had some traditional kind. We got there at 6 and went straight in but by 6:45 it was full almost. On the pricey side but a lovely meal.

Traditional yet progressive - Edit
A family-run business specializing in a traditional Nagoya specialty, and yet a vegan menu complete with two types of udon dishes, tempura, tenmusu, a miso eggplant dish, and yuba sashimi. We’ll definitely be back to try the dishes we missed. What we had was exceptional!

Great spot for vegan udon - Edit
Tip: you have to ask for the vegan-specific menu to see the vegan options.
Read moreThe staff was really friendly and accommodating.
The udon was delicious and fully vegan which was a great find. They state that they keep everything separate from non-vegan foods when preparing vegan options—and even go so far as to offer separate disposable utensils for anyone who doesn’t want to use utensils that previously touched non-vegan foods.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for vegan udon.
