Overprice vegetarian food - Edit
We ordered the 猪肚汤 and it’s extremely peppery spicy & bitter. When feedback to server, she can only say “you are the only one today who commented cus we cook in batches” we ordered all these worth rm150. (Super overpriced considering they are in JB) people who buy off shelf products pls be extra careful! Look at the expiry date Bef buying. I saw some granola cereal & wanted to buy, exp was 1 month ago & manufacture 1 year ago. I told the staff about it she say “you want you buy, if not put back people will buy” wtf???? What a business ethic, it is unacceptable moreover you are a vegetarian business! They probably nice thing is cream prawn and sambal potato leaves, nothing else. Will not visit again.

Cons: Selling expired food off shelf, Taste is too extreme (too peppery / too salty), On a more expensive side

Unpleasant experience - Edit
Mala big bowl noodles is just Maggie mee. And if you’ve tried any mala from sg, you will find the mala here a disappointment. What was worst was the Very bad service from the Lady boss. The shop doesn’t accept cards (YouTrip) and the reception at the shop sucks so you need to walk out of the shop to scan the QR code for Touch and Go payments. Instead of being patient, the lady boss was just rude in her unpleasant comments when this situation happened

Xiang Ji, Johor Bahru - Edit
Lacto ovo Buddhist Chinese vegetarian restaurant. Pretty big menu choice although much of those I regret are egg, dairy and/or mock meat. Food was tasty enough; a couple of green leaf dishes and eggplant with tofu in a claypot.

Pros: Tasty enough food
Cons: All vegan is always better, The cashier could set a warmer example

Bad attitude - Edit
I’ve been a loyal customer but unfortunately, my experience was not a pleasant one. The food was decent, but the attitude of the owner and staff members left a lot to be desired.
Read moreFrom the moment I walked in, they did not offer a warm welcome, and their tone of voice was abrupt and unfriendly. As I sat down to order my meal, I noticed that several other staff members were also displaying negative attitudes.
The most unpleasant moment is when I intend to make payment at the counter (yes, they won’t come to your table and give you the bill), I asked how much does it cost, and the owner just throw me the bill and don’t even bother to talk to me!
Overall, I would not recommend Xiang Ji due to the poor attitudes of its owner and staff members. I believe that customer service is essential, and it was severely lacking during my visit. If you're looking for a restaurant that values its customers, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Lots of vegan options! Clean restaurant - Edit
[JB, Vegetarian] Do you know JB is Part of Johor? Haha random… long time ago, I always thought JB = Johor (but it is not, ok…haha). #veggiexplorerinmalaysia
Read moreAnw! We tried this vegetarian stall “Restoran Sayur-Sayuran Xiang Ji”. It is located near KSL area (suggest you can drive/ grab there when you in JB).
We have ordered the below foodie:
💚 Bak Kut Teh Soup
💚 Deep Fried Veg Fish
💚 Fried Sweet Potato Leaves
💚 2 cup of Barley Drinks & 1 Plum Lime Juice
I likey the foodie! Esp the bkt soup! So much ingredients in it and taste so good! The other two dishes are of slightly stronger taste which I can’t quite make up what it is … maybe olive… I am not a fan of the other two dishes but my mother likey. They have long list of menu including super big bowl of noodles (~20sgd) which seems interesting to me but we didn’t try….
We also ordered 2 plates of rice (in heart shape so cute) and a butter shrimp (not vegan as contain butter). All cost ~130rm (-41sgd). Spacious clean restaurant - would recommend 😋

Wide variety of dishes - Edit
🇲🇾 [𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐡𝐫𝐮] Friend’s recommendation to visit Xiang Ji Restoran (香積素食) and we decided to just settle our lunch there.
Read moreThey offer a large variety of dishes but we only managed to capture a few pages of the menu. Ordered claypot G rice and char kway teow. Food was indeed flavourful and I like that the claypot rice comes with a smoked flavour and layer of crispy rice, anyway what’s claypot rice without crispy rice😌 Char kway teow came with wokhei, and that’s good enough for me, and i especially like how they topped it off with those crispy bits (swipe to view close-ups).
There’s also a corner offering vegetarian supplies like instant noodles, pastes and soup base, can look around while waiting for your food.

还行 - Edit
