Wild Leek is the LOML - Edit
I’ve been going to Wild Leek for years and it’s easily my favourite vegan place in Halifax! Love the donair wrap & dragon fries. My non-veg friends and family are obsessed with the dragon fries. Also the grab&go fridge is so convenient I love the club wrap they always have stocked! Staff & environment are friendly and chill😄

The food is delicious! - Edit
Right now, they have the best vegan donair in Halifax. It's not exactly the same as the original - the meat is thicker and less spiced and the sauce is less sweet - but the result is something very delicious. Pair it with the dragon fries and you will constantly come back! Lots on the menu that's good, and their specials are great. Love their pressed juices too.

Nope - Edit
I was not impressed with this place, especially for a “top rated” Happy Cow restaurant. The server was not at all welcoming and didn’t have very good customer service. The ambiance is not very nice. The place is freezing. They don’t have any cafe drinks despite us along with the 2 other tables in, all asking about espresso and the server saying she gets asked everyday and has told the owner multiple times that its what the people want. The food was honestly not good, EXCEPT the caesar salad which was absolutely amazing for some reason.
Read moreWe had upgraded our wrap to “crispy chicken” instead of tofu but when it came out, it looked like tofu, so we asked the server if it had been swapped (no problem if she had forgot, she memorized our order so we were just making sure we weren’t charged for it if not) to which she replied “yes its correct, this is a vegan resturant, we don’t have real chicken”. Which my partner and I (both long time vegans) thought was a bizarre way to answer our inquiry when it was clear what we were asking and she knew that. Anyways, I would not come back here and wouldn’t recommend anything but the caesar salad. We gave the left overs to our dog.

Warm and friendly cafe - Edit
Doing an overnight in Halifax and came across this gem. I had a carrot, apple ginger juice from the fresh fridge and my husband had a strawberry fields smoothie. We then both had the chick’un Caesar wrap with potatoes and it was DELICIOUS! So filling and tasty. Our server was really friendly and helpful with local recommendations for the area. Thank you for having us!

Excellent Restaurant - Edit
A nice relaxed vibe oozing with friendly charm.
Read moreNot gluten free, but come on, donair?!? It was delicious. Some of the seitan was a bit over cooked but it had great texture and flavour.
The Caesar salad was delicious and in point woth a le on wedge.
The Mac burger nachos we're good, a lot of the chips were broken and quite small which made it a bit hard to eat.
The almond cranberry gf cookie was not good imo. Too much fake almond flavour.
Ocean was so nice and friendly with prompt service and a wonderful conversationalist. She also gave me some local haunts to go check out.

The food at Wild Leek is so flavourful and filling. So many wonderful choices on Uber Eats and Skip the Dishes delivery apps. Note that in-store there are lots of grab'n'go items, staples, and more desserts.

Tons of Options - Edit
Wild Leek has so many options we had trouble picking. Eventually we settled on the Titanic Burrito and BLT wrap with dragon potatoes. The wraps were pretty good, but a bit expensive for what we got. The potatoes would be better crispier. All around good vegan option.

Maravilhoso!!! - Edit

Takeout vegan food, good selection - Edit
2022 update: takeout only now, with only one small table to sit at on the sidewalk unless you are able to take it home. Otherwise it's eating in the car.
