lots of vegan options in the prepared foods section

I got a bunch of different things from the hot bar/buffet for lunch. although it's a bit expensive, I appreciated the opportunity to have a variety of vegan dishes at once and several of the dishes were quite tasty such as a tofu entree and some of the salads (more than just your basic salads).

Pros: Tasty, lots of vegan options/large buffet, can read all of the ingredients before picking

Cons: A little expensive

Good selection

The grocery selection is impressive, however, I find that the prices are a bit high. I wish the deli and cafe offered more vegan choices.

Whole Foods is great!

They have a lot of good food, and they introduced PLNT Burger to their location! Never tried Plnt Burger, but I'm sure it's good! They also have vegan sushi & pizza! Just remember it will be a bit on the expensive side.

Pros: Yummy food, Vegan

Improving

Better options have cropped up in their prepared foods (avocado toast bar, a few soups, some cold and hot bar items), as well as their food stations - vegan pizza, vegan sushi, avocado tacos, as well as meal deals in their prepared food deli case with a nice mock chicken, cauliflower rice and other sides for $9. Bakery has limited choices, especially late in the day. For awhile they had cupcakes, but not lately.

Pros: An increase in vegan options, Sometimes great sales in frozen, vegan cheeses

Cons: High end pricing, Almost always out of beyond meat products

great

Best selection of vegan refrigerator items I have seen in any whole foods. I was impressed. Also well stocked with all the essentials. Is a nice space with a coffee bar and plenty of parking.

Lacking vegan food options

UPDATE 06/19/2017: The vegan hot food/deli options have almost all disappeared so, so, so disappointing.

UPDATE 9/21/2015: Sadly the cafe menu has completely changed and now serves meat/fish. There are still a few vegan items listed on the menu, main entrees include falafel fritters and avocado sandwich. Pretty disappointed.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
The cafe inside "The Corner" is a must visit. The Vegan crabcakes are amazing. I've also tried the cauliflower 'cheesesteak' but was not very impressed, bread was very dry and daiya was barely melted. Store itself has tons of vegan, raw, gluten free items for sale. This includes local Maryland companies. You can make your own fresh orange juice in the produce isle - it is delicious! There is also an oil and vinegar dispenser available. Tons of bulk legumes, grains, coffee, pasta, etc. The prices are currently VERY reasonable because of the grand opening.

Tons of cafe options!!

Whole Foods must have heard the complaints because the vegan options at the deli were plentiful today.

one of the least-vegan friendly Whole Foods markets in the world

As time goes by the number of vegan options gets smaller and smaller. The vegan pizza, tofu scramble, and vegan hot bar options have all been eliminated. You may find an accidentally vegan option on the hot bar from time to time but it is very unlikely.

Vegan options that exist do include: muffins (blueberry, chocolate chip, cranberry), chocolate chip and ginger bread cookies, vegan fried avocado tacos (seasonably available at the Counter at Kitt. Restaurant), and vegan General Tsos chicken (available cold, by the pound, in the deli case)

Terrible Cafe for vegans, decent grocery section

From the out side, this was the coolest looking Whole Foods I have seen. I was already impressed. But then when I got in, I was just disappointed. The Fresh vegetable and fruit section is very small. Then you have a cheese bar right next to it stinking up the place. If yippy try to power through it, you will find a small tofu section but still a strong stink of cheese and now something else. Because on the other side of the Tofu is just a giant slaughter house display. Fish and farm animals dead stinking up the place even worse... Turning away from that in another corner of the store you will find the cafe. There was 0 vegan options in the 'deli' when I was there. Only real vegan options at the bar was the fruit bar. It was mostly all 'soul' food. Just fried chicken everywhere. I have never seen so much junk at a whole foods. Then at the bakery, there was one vegan option. A cranberry muffin. So the prepared options there were very disappointing.

The pre packaged processed foods were decent. Some standard frozen meals, decent bread selection. Cosmetics and boddy was pretty large though.

[censored], over all. Very disappointed. I did not know whole foods was now a soul food cafe. So gross...

Pros: Cool looking building

Cons: Stinky, Terrible Cafe, Not good for vegans (compared to other whole foods
