Great place!

What a gem! Came here for breakfast and it did not disappoint. Fully vegan bakery with many options, besides bread they also serve all sorts of baked goods like focaccia, pastry and croissants. We tried all three types of focaccia’s, they were outstanding and some of the best focaccia’s I’ve ever had. The flavours were not your everyday focaccia flavours, which made them really good. They really know how to use the right flavours, I believe ours were truffle (my favourite), jalapeño and pesto. Besides that we had two fruit pastries, which were very good and not overly sweet. All signs are in Chinese but we could communicate in English. Coffee can be bought nearby at 1035 with soy milk. One outside seat only, but you can take out. So far my favourite place in all of Taiwan!

Wasted my time!!!!

I wasted 40 minutes round trip just to find out this place is closed! How the hell are the store owners so irresponsible by not updating their store hours on Happy Cow? Shame on the store owner for wasting my time/energy and everyone else's who stopped by this place just to find out this place is closed. It takes less than a few minutes to update your hours on this app.

Vegan bakery in Taichung

This bakery only opens from Friday to Sunday and make sure you check their schedule on Instagram before going. I visited it upon its opening and there were plenty of choices. But the options on that day was not too impressive as I saw others had some better ones. I tried a plain croissant, a chocolate pastry and a mochi bread. They were good but not too impressive as I tried better ones. Worth trying if you are around.

Amazing vegan bakery!

Came here relatively early and they still had so many options both savory (e.g. focaccia) and lots of sweet stuff:)

I came back later that day (originally for the cinnamon roll) but most of their stuff was already sold out, so I suggest you go as early as possible.

Staff is super nice and helpful and the whole place looks super cozy

Pros: Sooo delicious

Vegan pastries (sweet & savoury)

So delicious! Follow the signs through the alley to the back and find the fully vegan bakery! They have lots of options from croissants, cinnamon buns, cream puffs, loaves of bread and more! We got a chocolate croissant (pain o chocolat) and a cinnamon bun! There's only one small seat outside to sit but otherwise it's mainly takeaway unless you buy a drink at their non vegan cafe (they have plant milk there). Very nice quality here ☺️

Perfect Bakery

We absolutely loved this bakery! It was a little hard to find at first, but the Google map location is accurate - it's just down a small alley into a little courtyard. Our first visit was around midday when there was a decent array of items available. Our second visit was close to 5pm and there were very few things left, so don't leave it too late in the day to visit!

There are no English names on display, so I'm not 100% sure what to call them all, but you can refer to my photos as well to get a sense of what they are.

We tried a pain au chocolat. It had a generous chocolate filling. We ate it the day after we bought it and it had lost some of it's crispness, which is a shame, but not their fault.

My partner enjoyed the coffee mochi bun, which had a strong coffee flavour and a fun texture from the nuts on top and the mochi in the centre. We've not seen this kind of mochi bun before, so that was fun.

We tried the cheese and edamame bun, which had loads of pockets of cheese and was perfectly baked. It was well seasoned as well with quite a peppery kick which I loved.

We got a chocolate and berry croissant. The chocolate dough was rich and not dry. The pops of juiciness from the berries helped to balance out the richness. This was comfortably my favourite of the sweets we tried.

Finally, we had a charcoal bun with fishy filling. The filling was really savoury and delicious, and the bread was soft. The charcoal added a bit to the flavour as well. We had this on both visits, it was a real highlight.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke English to us, and told us about the business and building.

It was a great spot for picking up packed lunch and breakfast supplies, highly recommended.

Outstanding Vegan Bakery

The bakery has a lovely design, the owner is very nice. He speaks good English, helps with the food selection and also recommended food spots for other cities.
The bread and sweet food was beyond good. Everything had a very unique taste and was delicious.
A must visit spot for every vegan in Taichung.
Prices are compared to usual bakeries in Taiwan a bit high but definitely worth it.

Pros: Food, Owner, Atmosphere

Exquisite!

We found this place through Google Maps and it did not disappoint. The owner Leo was friendly and spoke great English. The shop is open plan so you can see the bakers at work and it is very impressive indeed.

On our first visit we got cheese & olive ciabatte, a plain croissant, pain au chocolat, cinnamon rolls & a matcha bread. Everything was utterly delicious!

We liked it all so much that we came back a few days later on our way through to Tainan.
