Amazing place! - Edit
Wow, this place is obligatory to visit in Bristol 🧡 amazing atmosphere, delicious food (milkshakes are the best!) and a large choice of vegan products such as sweets, vegan dairy, ice creams etc etc 🧡

Classic vegan junk food! - Edit
One of the OGs! Used to go here all the time visiting Bristol when I hadn’t been vegan for long and it satisfied junk food cravings 😂 lots of choice, nothing super flavourful but it’s junk food!

Wanted to buy everything! - Edit
Little shop section with various meat/cheese/egg alternatives, along with plenty of candy and other goods. I didn’t get to try any of the cafe drinks or food items but there was a huge variety and they all looked quite tasty. Decent amount of seating inside and some spots outside too. Very calming environment.

Vegan paradise. - Edit
It’s both a cafe and a grocery shop where you can buy vegan stuff to bring home but also T shirts, tote bags… very “rebellious” vibes, in the decoration of the place and the atmosphere. The cookie pie was absolutely out of this world.

Delicious food and cute vibes - Edit
Love the vegan junk food available. We had the mac n cheese burrito. Wasn’t really mac n cheese as they used penne pasta instead of macaroni elbows but it was still delicious. A huge selection of vegan treats and fridge items and cakes too.

Bland, expensive food - Edit
Really sad to have finally made it to vx Bristol and the food was just not good. The Mac and cheese was bland, as was the BLT. The pizza pastie was nothing like pizza and just tasted of veg, beans and undercooked pastry. The milkshake was the only thing we enjoyed, sad to say. The shop is filled with some great stuff but is quite pricey.
Read morePros: Nice selection of vegan chocolates, Nice pastries, Yummy milkshakes
Cons: Probably the worst mac and cheese I've ever had, BLT tasted of nothing , Horrible pizza pastie

I had a vegan croissant and it was very nice. I’ve previously had an apple strudel from there that was also yummy. Staff very friendly.

Really delicious options and a nice in-restaurant 'store' - Edit
Some really tasty junk food and decadent desserts - just make sure your eyes aren't bigger than your stomach! I keep making the mistake of over-ordering, since it all sounds and looks so good.
Read moreI'm not really a fan of most vegan cheeses, so unfortunately I haven't really enjoyed their cheesy offerings (e.g. mac and cheese), though a friend had the mac and cheese toastie which she said was good, and I enjoyed my nachos. If you order well, you're in for a delicious junk food experience!
The 'shop' offers some chilled items (cheese, mock-meats) as well as non-perishables - the whipped cream (no need to refrigerate until it's been opened!) is great, as well as the Montezuma's chocolate and some of the jerky.
Sadly the milkshakes (while large) are mostly ice and I can't really recommend them. They're not great value for the price and are more of an icey chocolate slushie.

Great food and really good shop - Edit
Comfort food eatery and shop, including fresh sandwiches; frozen and chilled vegan products, such as cheese, deli meats, hummus; canned and packaged goods; treats and chocolate. Delicious, decadent desserts! Loved the Biscoff cheesecake and the Oreo cake, cookie and olive swirl. The Breakfast Burrito was good, served piping hot, satisfying; next time, I enjoyed the quesadilla with guacamole, along with a classic Biscoff milkshake. Burgers, toasties, nachos, mac-n-cheese. Also sells dog food, themed mugs and Hunt Saboteurs merchandise.

Oooh, mama! - Edit
A quick stop for tea and cake, but oh my! Lovely little cafe with a big vibe. Had a pistachio and almond swirl with my organic tea and it was absolutely spot-on. Also nicked a bit of my partner's oreo brownie which was amazing, if a little over-the-top on the sweetness side for me.

Didn't try any of the meals this time but, in the words of a cyborg from the future looking for vegan junk food, I'll be back.
It's just as well VX is two counties away otherwise I'd be there all the time and around ten stone heavier.
Pros: Atmosphere - buzzing, Great food at great prices

It's been a while since I've been back to VX. They have a fantastic grocery section and some good merch, which is worth a visit in itself and the cakes look amazing. Didn't try any dessert today but I will next time. Main menu is slightly smaller than I remember and the food wasn't as good as I've had here before. Very busy today, felt understaffed, the staff were working really hard but seemed like they could have done with an extra set of hands.

Good for desserts - Edit
The pain au Chocolat was amazing; flaky buttery pastry and was large enough to fill me in during a climbing session. Milkshakes were delicious and the portions were generous. I think the savoury stuff isn't as good though.

Monster milkshake was delightfully monstrous - Edit
Surprisingly cheap, reasonable quality fast vegan food. I had the Mac and cheese buritto, which was very comforting but was a little light on chicken nuggies - if we’re being pedantic. The monster milkshake is a MUST

Amazing cheesecake - Edit
I loved the cheesecake here and would defo recommend this. However I did think their milkshake was a bit disappointing. They look amazing and the taste just doesn't match up. They're pretty pricey too. Get the cheesecake, pick a different drink. :)

The food was good. Had a breakfast roll and wrap. The milkshake was nice and unusual with the donut on top. They sell quite a few grocery bits and hunt sab t-shirts etc.

Nifty little place - Edit
I loved the quiche lorraine and the donut on my shake, but honestly overall I didn't rate the food/shake. I was so excited to find yorkshire puddings in the freezer! Sadly I didn't have time to go back to get them whilst I was visiting because they weren't open very late.

Definitely make sure you get a milkshake from here! They are so good and not too overly sickly! Burgers and fast food was good but wasn’t anything spectacular that had r been done by a chain restaurant!

YUM, the menu here is amazing and I wish I could have gone back again. I had the peanut butter coffee and almond croissant - easily one of the best vegan croissants of my life, so moist, flakey, buttery. Friendly service too.

We’ll worth a visit - Edit
I really enjoy this place. It so consistent, you know what you’re getting and it’s very reasonably priced. On my most recent visit it was pretty quiet but the vibe is usually pretty lively. I had a breakfast sandwich and one of their mini custard doughnuts; the doughnut was so so delicious, I even bought a couple to take away. It’s not a fancy brunch kinda place but it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s so much fun, the little retail section is always worth a look and I love their merch.

Disappointed with the shake - Edit
We came here to try their famous shakes and unfortunately, it was disappointing. The best part about it was the trimmings on the glass and donut. It was the most watered-down shake I've ever had in my life, not creamy like it should be, and it wasn't cheap. They used a syrup instead of actual biscoff spread, so it didn't really have the flavor either. We also ordered the vegan scotch egg which was recommended cold but it didn't taste good, so I'd ask for it warmed up if you're curious to try this. The millennium shortbread was good.
