Junk Food Love

Great food and range of vegan goodies. The range of cakes is especially good.

Pros: The cakes are top notch.

Cons: Not a nacho fan.

Not an special place

I have to said that it was disappointing. I think is expensive, not a great tasty food or big quantities.
But I heard that their cakes are the best, and must be because always that I've went there, there wasn't any more...

Not great

I have tried many junk food vegan places, this was OK but probably the worst I've been to. We food was just ok for flavour but extremely unhealthy.

Pros: Some interesting ideas, All vegan

Cons: Write pricey , Small portions, Very unhealthy

Tasty sweet treats!

We tried a selection of their cakes - all lovely and a burrito which was also very tasty. It was so good to see a vegan place this busy!

Open during Easter

We were so glad VX were open on Easter Sunday whilst everything seemed to be closed in Bristol. We had a Kebab(needed more sauce), Hell burger(beware! Very chilly), Oreo milkshake (divine) and a custard donut (not bad).

Pros: Oreo Milkshake, Relatively cheap for a main meal, Vegan Grocery shop

Cons: Not the tastiest vegan burger or kebab we’ve had

Disgusting and disappointing

Full of insects flying around, dirty table and very dirty toilet. They also give single use plastic straws (promoting pollution to the rivers and oceans)! On top of it, not fully vegan place. They use Oreos and don't know that Oreos are not vegan in the UK... Also, their food tastes poor and contains too much sugar. The Vx frappe is just disgusting, only the cream on top full of sugar tastes good, but that is just because of the sugar content. They don't have too much variety of food. Their ice creams are very expensive and don't taste very good. I was excited to go to this place and I found it one of the worst "vegan" spots I have ever been in. Junk food, literally.

Pros: Decoration is fine but they are not true vegans, You can eat TRUE junk

Cons: Not truly vegan, Close minded staff, Quite dirty, Terrible location, Expensive, Too much sugar, Too little flavour

Vegan junk food heaven

This place was top of my list when I came to Bristol and it did not disappoint! They offer a huge variety of vegan junk food including hot dogs and Mac ‘n‘ Cheese as well as doughnuts, cookies and delicious shakes. Staff were friendly and prices reasonable especially when you‘re coming to visit from London. They have a retail area too, where you can buy vegan products such as my all time favourite Violife ‘cheese‘. Restroom available.

Vegan junk food heaven!

Really cool place! Loved that it had a little store section that we could look around whilst waiting for our food. Not the best vegan junk food we’ve had (we personally found the cake pretty dry) but it was great for the price and there was loads of choice. We especially enjoyed the quesadilla and the chocolate tart. Quite a way out of the city centre but worth the trip 💚

Yummy vegan junk!

VX serve great, affordable vegan junk food. As well as selling frozen foods, vegan food cupboard essentials and VX merchandise. If you keep up with their social media, they often post daily/weekly specials that look yum! Also, the cakes here are incredible!

Pros: Dog friendly. , Fully vegan. , Affordable.

One of my favourite local spots

The actual cakes are impressive but a little dry as they’re frozen and defrosted. The sweet stuff in the cabinets are usually better. The sandwiches are a little bland but fairly priced and it’s great there multiple options. Some of the junk food is a little too junky and clearly made with fresh or super high quality ingredients but I guess that’s not in the name! I come here often for the atmosphere, for a solo coffee and cake to read a book etc

Pros: Amazing range of choice, Also sell fridge, freezer and pantry items etc, Great staff

Cons: Not super high quality food

Burrito

This is a really cool place with a ton of vegan options- basically a vegan junk food heaven. The cakes looked AMAZING although I didn't try one because I had a burrito and man, I did not need any more food after that. Perfect amount of spicyness & great flavours- even served in a wholewheat tortilla, which was a total score. Very filling. Worth a trip to Bristol just for that. The only thing I didn't really like was the décor. It was a bit too dark.

Pros: Burrito

Cons: Dark decor

Another diner

Not sure what I expected but it's another cafe that takes sausages, burgers etc out of the packet, puts it on a shop-bought bun and serves it to you. It's inexpensive, to be fair. The best bit was the milkshake, which still managed to disappoint as the donut was a bread donut from co-op or similar (not a fresh donut) and quite dry, I think it might've been yesterday's. I'd go for the regular, as opposed to the monster, shake. 3 stars for the ethos, cool decor and little shop.

Cheap and cheerful

They have lots of options and all at very good prices. I wasn’t so hungry, so went for the “ham” and cheese toastie. It did what it needed to. They also have items to buy from the freezer or their shelves. All round very good and worth a visit.

Best Kebab Ever!

A really lovely vibe, super friendly and chatty staff. The main thing though, is that the doner kebab I had will be forever in my thoughts, it was so delicious that I will be having dreams of it for quite a while! My omni boyfriend had the macaroni cheese which he announced was delicious, and he also enjoyed the apple pie, whilst I tucked into a jam doughnut. I do believe I will be back!

Pros: The most delicious doner kebab, Gorgeous customer service, Good music and nice vibe
