Rome’s TOP vegan fine dining - Edit
I'm a regular here, and the last time I visited, the staff / owner remembered my usual order. It was surprising but a happy experience. Indeed, they pay a lot of attention to their customers. I requested gluten-free ingredients in my dish, and the staff was so genuine to go above and beyond to customize the order. The staff and the chefs deserve special applause for all their efforts. Instead of the simple recommendations, the staff asked about my taste, and based on that, they gave me drink and food recommendations. I must say their recommendations were great. They know their customers very well. Truly te top vegan restaurant in Italy.

Honestly the most important hidden GEM for all the vegan or non vegan people. This place is a vegan dream! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I tried the 'Creamy blueberry Pasta and it was out of this world – the sauce was so rich and flavorful, and the texture was perfect. My friend raved about the juicy risotto, saying the best risotto ever had and well-seasoned, and the pine nuts cheese sauce was a revelation. Service was friendly, enough knowledgable and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion size. We'll definitely be back. Vrindaa is definitely top of the toppers in the eternal city.

Nowhere near as good as it wants to be - Edit
Unfortunately this place just didn't do it for us. Supposedly a fine dining restaurant and certainly charges as such, and so when reviewing at those standards there's much left to be desired here.
Read moreThe decor is nice on the surface but the chairs felt really cheap- the padding came off the Velcro when you sat down and my seat cushion was sliding off the entire evening- you're too low and far away from the table to sit comfortably and the huge, ornate heavy plates weren't enjoyable to eat from at all and the cutlery kept sliding into the plate when you put them down.
The bathrooms are also really lacking in a place such as what Vindraa is going for. There's two doors into the single toilet, one of which obviously goes directly into the kitchen- you can hear the food being prepared seemingly right on the other side of the wall. I'm not sure if this is a used door or not, but either way feeling like it a chef could burst in any any point isn't what you want anywhere- I can't say I've ever seen anything like this before in Italy, never mind at one of the most expensive places we dined at.
We found it really funny when the breadsticks came out in what was clearly a toothbrush holder shaped like a tooth (made in china sticker still on it) but that sort of embodied the place- it's trying to be a fine dining experience but ultimately misses the mark pretty badly.
The food is decent, but honestly that's it and for near €40 a plate I was expecting a lot more. While Vindraa markets itself on 'expecting the unexpected' we found the food to be fairly bland in truth, in particular the surprise chefs dish on our secondi which was essentially a deep fried batter with a nut purree filling. We were asked to 'guess what we were eating' (which I had to decline multiple times before we were actually told what was in our dish when it came out) and it all just felt gimmicky- and that they'd started with trying to combine a load of ingredients as opposed to with the actual flavours on the resulting plate. The redcurrants on the dish were really the only thing on there with some proper flavor.
The blueberry pasta on the primi was nice, but again for near €40 it won't absolutely wow you, and theres genuinely better (Rifuga Romana, Romeow, 100% Bio) and more creative and inventive food (100% Bio) for genuinely 3x less.
Our waiter was super passionate about veganism and their own produce which I love but the food just doesn't match their ambitions at all.

Vegan Paradise the top of the city - Edit
Hands down, the top of the topper for all vegan restaurant in Rome and Dining at Vrindaa was a truly delightful experience. The food was exceptional, the service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was perfect for a cozy evening. I highly recommend it for just having an unbelievable experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. They were attentive without being intrusive, and our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant's decor is modern and thoughtful also completely plastic free, creating a relaxing atmosphere. I loved the cozy, intimate setting. Go and have their innovative cuisine. Honestly the best in the town🫶🏻

This place impressed me from start to finish. Starting with attentive staff and fast service, I'm coming back here. The dish’s names, the ingredients, and the options are very different but tasty as well. I ordered my cocktail three times because that's how much I enjoyed it. Totally value for money. I can not believe why Vrindaa is not in a list of 2 star Michelin guide. It displays the highest degree of craftsmanship and plenty of personality from a chef who tirelessly cooks classic Vegan Ayurvedic dishes. Most importantly, the food here is a joy to eat which is something I can not always say about Michelin restaurants. Ingredients are luxurious and treated carefully. Plates are rich but with perfect balance and finesse. This is a restaurant I will happily return to each time I am in Rome.

Vrindaa is an absolute hidden GEM in the town, I'm writing again for their phenomenal hospitality till at the end & also I personally liked their strict rules for the clients which is needed I think for every restaurant. They truly deserve Michelin star rating, just go & feel their innovations Very balanced fresh creative vegan kitchen which is completely different than others restaurant. The genuine quality, service & peaceful ambience reminds you that you're having food in your home. I didn't know that Vrindaa is 100% plastic free restaurant which is actually needs for whole world so congrats for respecting nature. I told Roy to increase price list because the way they are serving and giving the best quality they actually deserve, its very reasonable for whom who thinks it's expensive. Oh yeah this time Vrindaa's Chef Olyna brought me a new dish which is combined by Melanzane with sour cream, what can I say just delicious, can't wait to come again along with family & friends. Completely 100% vegan settings. Reservation must & feel their hospitality.

What should I start actually Vrindaa’s each creation & each of the part has pure beauty, the modern decor with soft lightening, customised plates to hand made table, incredible background music to peaceful environment just unbelievable, the taste just unforgettable trust me they are making something different that I can assure you won’t be disappoint. Great Indian & Italian fusion - Edit
It’s not easy to find 100% vegan fine dining but this restaurant pulls it off beautifully. The atmosphere is lovely, the service is warm and welcoming, and the tasting menu allowed us to sample a range of creative dishes blending Indian and Italian influences. They also produce their own wines and have their own farm. The restaurant endorses a sattvic diet, meaning they exclude not only animal products, but also ingredients like onion, garlic, and (apparently) chocolate. Now, I chair the Onion & Garlic Studies Department at Oxford, and my partner happens to be the patron saint of dark chocolate. But despite those omissions, we were satisfied with our meal. I guess the only downside was the price. It's steeper than most fine dining spots I’ve tried. But for a special occasion, it’s definitely worth a visit.
