Open Mon 12:00-17:00, Tue-Fri 12:00-15:30, Sat 09:00-15:30, Sun 12:00-15:30. Closed winter months.

Terrace Cafe review (the other cafe at the heights of Abraham

Can’t find their own listing but aswell as the vista there is a canteen style cafe here, just underneath the Vista restaurant. It has a few decent vegan options, we were pleasantly surprised when we visited today. Vegan sausage roll, loaded fries with either baked beans or bean chilli. Jacket potato with either beans or bean chilli. There were two vegan cakes which both looked nice and oat milk available too. Hubby had the sausage roll, enjoyed it. I had the jacket potato with bean chilli, really generous serving and nice side salad with it. Handy for a quick lunch whilst at the attraction.

Pros: Good portions, Quick service, Bean chilli was a nice option

Cons: No vegan panini option

Limited vegan options were fine

Not many places in Matlock Bath have vegan options at all so my wife and I were really glad to find a couple at the Vista, part of the Heights of Abraham tourist attraction. My wife had the soup of the day (carrot which happened to be vegan) whilst I had a panang curry. The food was... fine - nothing special in terms of quality but certainly passable. There are 2 vegan mains on the menu (out of 6 total) but it would be good to see a bit more variety and perhaps slightly bigger portion sizes.
