Fun selection of food: delicious pizzas, comfy mac-n-cheese, warm white-bean/artichoke dip, interesting salads, great ice creams and sorbets, cocktails and house-made lemonades. The pizza crust is perfect. They sell ice cream by the pint to take away.

Excellent vegan pizza - Edit
I was very excited when a location opened in Victoria. The pizzas in my experience have been excellent, I do find they are best fresh at the restaurant. The kale caesar and mac and cheese were also longtime favourites. The last couple times I ordered the mac tasted like it had a different less flavorful sauce and the salad in restaurant was soggy. When I ordered the salad to go and dressed it myself I've had a better experience. The house made ice creams with seasonal flavours and canoli have never disappointed. I always eagerly await the berry cheesecake ice cream to come back into rotation. If the mac and salad had not gone down in quality over the past couple years I'd give 5 stars. The pizzas have stayed consistent however.
Read moreThe location has a small patio in the back that is sheltered by surrounding buildings, so while you get no nice views you are sheltered from the wind off the ocean. The inside of the restaurant is reasonable sized and has a nice bar area. Do not like the location for parking reasons, it's right downtown so parking can be rough and expensive.

We tried the garlic knots to start and this set the standards high, as they were delicious! And we weren’t disappointed for the mains at all. The pizzas are imaginative and full of unique flavours far beyond your typical toppings. We had the ultraviolet (walnut pesto, cashew mozzarella, dried tomatoes, kale, caramelised onions and pine nuts), superfungi (herbed potato cream sauce, cashew mozzarella, truffle oil, almond ricotta, wild mushrooms and rocket), sweet Mary Jane (TVP bacon, caramelised onion jam, cashew mozzarella, hot honey, parmesan) and the August special Hawaiian Summer (cashew mozzarella, chicken shreds, caramelised pineapple, red onion and BBQ sauce). They all had a thin, crispy base and were a good size, so you were full without overeating. Their own nut cheeses were special and tasted delicious and the caramelised pineapple on the Hawaiian Summer was amazing! We sat outside on their patio space around the back, which was lovely, and the staff were friendly.

Highlight in Victoria - Edit
I'm always happy to find fully vegan restaurants and after trying Virtuous Pie in Vancouver, we also had to check out the one in Victoria. We came here twice during our stay in Victoria. Food was really good and the staff was just lovely - very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to try one of their pizzas!

Vegan pizza can go either way sometimes, I really didn’t want anything greasy with lots of overpowering vegan cheese. This did not disappoint. The vegan cheese was so tasty, the pizza was incredible and I got the spicy sausage. Wow!

Similar to the Portland, OR location with a few extras we hadn’t seen before. Kale Caesar salad was delicious and the Margherita pizza was as expected. The seasonal cannoli was a lemon flavor and quite tasty. This location has lots of seating inside and a nice patio out back.

Ordered the Sweet Mary Jane and drumsticks. The pizza was great. The cheese was great, not the normal weird texture vegan mozzarella you normally would get. Drumsticks were nice, and even better dipped in the garlic ranch. Staff was helpful, place clean. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been missing this spot - Edit
I’ve been missing Virtuous Pie since they closed their doors in Toronto a few years ago. SO happy to be able to try their pizzas again! I grabbed the Ultraviolet pizza and a scoop of their buttered maple pecan ice cream. I’ll definitely be stopping by again before leaving Victoria.

I’m ngl, when I first saw the pizza I was very underwhelmed but WOW this vegan pizza was amazing. The sauce was very light and delicious and there was no heavy oil/greasiness to it like a lot of pizzas have. The cheese was great and not at all overpowering or gummy which is a common issue with vegan pies.

I couldn’t give it 5 stars because I’ve had better. I really wanted to give it 3 stars but perhaps I chose the wrong pizzas: Margherita and Superfunghi. I also think the garlic knots were just OK (a bit too chewy). The ice cream and cannolis (though not a traditional shell) were very good.

Here for work and this is a treasure not to be missed, especially if you’re in the downtown area. The pizzas are creatively topped with mild to bold flavours.we were unanimous in thinking the pesto roasted tomato pizza was outstanding.
