One option but it’s great - Edit
There’s one option - the seitan burger which is really awesome. Seitan, onions, lettuce on a soft bun. Really tasty and warm on a winters day. Good for a small town with limited choices.

Just ok - Edit
The taste of soy sauce dominated the seitan sandwich. Wouldn’t really recommend.

It’s not amazing for vegan/vegetarian people. The seitan was ok. The bread not my thing.. very powdery and dry.

Ok seitan, but that's just it - Edit
The only vegan option they had was dry and simple. Seitan was just okay, but why do they have only one vegan option if they make seitan by themselves? Only seitan, a half cherry tomato, onion and a salad leaf inside a dry bread. No sauce.

Good vegan option - Edit
There's just one vegan option: seitan with 'bolo do caco' which is type of bread. It was a little salty, but tasty.

A Salt Bomb in your Mouth - Edit
Villa 6 was one of the few spots in Sintra that was open and carried a vegan lunch option. I was starved after visiting some of the sites so I decided to give them a go, since folks mentioned their sandwiches to be decent.
Read moreI ordered their Seitan Sandwich (€8) along with a glass of wine (€5), and let me tell you: the sandwich was not good.
The seitan was overcooked and tough, and the sauce they coated the sandwich in was incredibly salty and near inedible. Sandwiched this between two burger buns and they called this the vegan option... honestly, not impressed at all, even for a tourist trap of a restaurant.
Service here was at least friendly but the utter lack of a decent meal option especially for vegans means I can't rate this spot any higher.
Pros: There is at least an option
Cons: Very salty sandwich and not worth it in my opinion

Great place but only one vegan option - Edit
The seitan sandwich was really good but for the fit ones: is not a high quality almost pure gluten seitan, it's noticeable by the texture - so not a protein rich meal. Still worth the calories tho!

Pros: Tasty option!, Friendly staff

Not much to choose, worth to go - Edit
There was only seitan sandwitch in the menu but they are making seitan themselves and it's quite good. The best however is the filling of that sandwitch - it's very aromatic, smoked onion with a little bit of wine flavour I guess. Nevertheless - worth visiting because of that sandwitch. 5/5

Tasty seitan sandwich - Edit
We were super hungry after our hike and glad to find a place that serves a vegan dish. The homemade seitan sandwich was delicious - a bit small maybe but we added some fries and left full and happy😄

Sintra is beautiful - Edit
Nice friendly staff, the restaurant is in a quiet street, but they don't have anymore seitan steak plate on the menu, only a vegan seitan sandwich and a mushroom plate with cheese... it's a very small portion for very expensive price and not so good. They offered us a drink because we were desapointed, good licor from the grand-father.

not worth it:/ - Edit
Small portions and overpriced. We went there because it was close but we regret it immediately when saw portions and taste the food. Seitan with no taste with too much dry herbs😡small portion of rice and little bit of salad. We have to order extra fries to make it bigger.

Tasty seitan and lovely place - Edit
Seitan sandwich and seitan on a plate were both good and the staff was friendly. Maybe bit tiny portions but very tasty anyway. The bar itself is idyllic and situated in a quaint street.

Would not order again - Edit
I ordered the seitan plate based on the reviews. I have to totally disagree, the portion was extremely small, didn’t look like the picture here on HC. More fries than anything else with the plate. Seitan xtremely salty and very oily and an undesirable taste. Our waiter was very nice, but that’s not what I go to restaurant for. I was really excited to be able to get seitan in this area 😔. A friend of mine had the stuff mushrooms which are vegetarian as they had cheese. She really enjoyed those.

Good seitan! - Edit
As others have pointed out, at „Villa 6“ they produce homemade seitan and have two vegan dishes – either a seitan sandwich or a seitan steak. I had the seitan steak, which was a huge serving of thin seitan slices, french fries and salad. The seitan itself is very good and it’s a good vegan option in touristy Sintra. But most of the flavour comes from salt and some dried herbs - I think you can do better. But you probably won’t get better vegan options in Sintra, staff is very nice and it is in a good location near the bus stop (for the busses going to Pena Palace or Montserrat) with nice outdoor seating. Apart from those two vegan options it is a typical location for meat and fish dishes.

Amazing seitan! - Edit
What a friendly little place! This bar serves also food, including their own seitan! Vegan friends have served as their food tasters, they told us, and the result is amazing. They said they had to work hard to create really good seitan. They also told that the cooks are really careful to clean everything between cooking meat and cooking seitan and vegan dishes. Well done boys! Try this place! They really try to serve their vegan customers even though they have just few dishes.
Read morePros: Wonderful seitan, Lovely attitude towards vegans, 1 of the few places in Sintra serving vegan food
Cons: Only few vegan dishes
