Simple, tasty, conscious - Edit
The vegan option for the day was pasta with mushrooms, the soup was also vegan and gluten free. Price is Google, food is good the relaxed ambiance I really like it.

Mushy warmed up food not fresh - Edit
We had the dish of the day (which they confirmed was vegan); a rice burger that fell in mushy pieces when cutting. It was swimming in a corn sauce (which made it even more mushy), and came with overcooked green asperges and some crackers (the crackers were tasty but a bit strange for this dish). The burger and asperges were so soft, probably because the dish was warmed up or kept warm for too long, since it came very quickly as well. It didn't apeal to me.
Read moreMy partner had the vegetarian quiche (not vegan) with a salad. The quiche looked and tasted like it came straight out of a package.
Nice atmosphere and very friendly, but next time I come here it will be for a drink, not for the food.

Vooruit Café is one of the places that is very socially conscious and cooks according to the LEF-principle: locally, ecologically and/or fair trade. They don't have a lot of choice of food in general, but it's always great and you can make most of the vegetarian dishes vegan

Simple foods - Edit
Very big but nice bar with a couple of food options. I had the vegan mushroom pasta which was simple, but good. Nice that a lot of options are veganizable, the staff is also very helpful with this.
