Amazing!! - Edit
Every dish we had was amazing. The animal fries were incredible and the Salt Lake Cheesesteak and Reuben sandwiches were fabulous. Great carrot cake too:-) definitely will return. I had tried their luncheon meat before, purchasing it from another plant based restaurant. I had no idea how amazing it could be with all of their flavorful sauces and preparations. Highly recommend!!

I stopped in this afternoon to grab lunch. The restaurant was empty, except for one person eating at a table. I saw some people working in the kitchen. One woman looked like she was cleaning equipment and smiled at me, but didn’t call anyone over to help me. A man appeared to be preparing food and clearly saw me, but ignored me. I also saw people in the back of the kitchen. I stood there until the screens with the menus timed out, and left. I went to a different restaurant. I’ve only been to Vertical Deli one other time. The first time was great! I am not sure who was supposed to be working at the counter, but I’m hesitant to go back until their customer service improves.

Nice vibes right by a movie theater. Menu has lots of options. Nice dining space. desserts were great. Excited to try more things.

Solid Vegan Spot - Edit
Vertical Deli is a good option for plant-based comfort food. The menu has hearty sandwiches and breakfast items, and the food is tasty and filling. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Not mind-blowing, but a reliable stop if you’re in the area.

Counter service was… weird. 2 gals were at the counter taking my family’s order and they were bickering unprofessionally. Ordered the pastrami sandwich, kale salad, the cubano, orange bowl, chicken parm, fries, a cowboy cookie and 2 brownies. They quickly delivered my pastrami sandwich, which I politely waited for the rest of the food to be served to my family members before eating. It took them 12 additional minutes. My sandwhich was no longer warm, had no pickles, and was a single slice of “meat” between rye bread a bit of kraut… it was sad. The chicken parm was served cold as well as the fries. The orange bowl, cubano and cowboy cookie were solid. The brownies were oily. The kale salad wasn’t anything to write home about. I won’t be back until they figure out how to make quality food and give good customer service.
