Great Mediterranean food! - Edit
The food is quite tasty and they have several options on menu that can be made vegan. The tomatoes and red lentil soup is so delicious! I would order a full bowl of it next time I go there. We have been very happy with all of our meals that we have ordered there. We have been there 4 times in the past several years.
Read moreI wish I could get the meals made without using any oil in them. I avoid oils in my WFPB vegan diet. That is hard to do eating out at restaurants because all restaurants always use oils!
Pros: Yummy vegan lentil soup, nice greens for salads, Several Vegan options on menu
Cons: Food cooked with oil, Food served with oil on them, vegan protein choices on menu

Waiter understands vegan concerns - Edit
Unlike the online menu, the print menu is clearly marked as to which dishes can be easily modified to be vegan or vegetarian. They make their own salad dressings and they warned me off the ones made with honey. I got the Veggie Zereshk Polow. It usually comes with tzatziki sauce. I was expecting them to simply subtract it, but they provided a vegan sauce instead. He took the time to tell me about other vegan dishes I might enjoy on future visits. When the bill was paid, he handed my husband an Andes Mint and gave me a dolmas instead. Little touches like this earned him a handsome tip. P.S. The restaurant is named The Med rather than Cafe Med.

Mediterranean Platter - Edit
I got the Mediterranean Platter with Baba Ghanooj, hummus, falafels, dolmas, rice, sauteed vegetables and pita bread, plus Greek and Tabbouleh salad. All vegan and was delicious.

Great falafel sandwich - Edit
I stopped in for a quick bite and was pleased. I odered a falafel sandwich minus tzatziki, the waiter asked if I was vegan, and said just tell us and we'll pan fry your falafel and leave off the tzatziki. The sandwich was delicious, again. I stopped here years ago directly after having falafel in St George Utah and this place restored my fondness of falafel.
