Amazingly good food! The Cali burrito is so good & alot of food for the money. We also had the chili rellanos & the spice level was perfect. My new go-to in Albuquerque!

Local family based restaurant with an amazing staff. The food was made to order, authentic and delicious. So many options it was hard to choose and that’s a good thing.

So good you’ll want to go back again and again. We’re on vacation from 🏴 and visited twice in 3 days a coupla weeks back. I had the Loco Tostarito the first time - so so so good, unmissable. My wife had a huge smothered burrito - she doesn’t like burritos but this was something else.. We had similar options the second time but were so hungry it all went before photos were taken ! Make your way to Vegos, you 100% will love it

Sooo good!! - Edit
My boyfriend and I went here today for a late lunch and WOW! He ordered the Going Back To Cali burrito and I ordered the Loco Tostarrito (which is essentially a crunchwrap). He said his burrito was really good, but I can tell you the Tostarrito was PHENOMENAL! I wish we were staying in the area so I could come back and get it again. Quick service, friendly staff, all around great vegan place!

Blazing Amazing - Edit
The quality of cuisine is extraordinary! Made with perfection. Small and quaint ambience. Not uncommon, a line out the door on a given day. Customer service is a game changer in how the staff here really cares about what they serve to you and is willing to make adjustments for folks who have allergies/food sensitivities. Good hours posted, menu visibility online. They will pick up the phone and talk with customers when able. Has to be crazy busy not to, thus patience is in order. Plenty of parking available. The El Jefe is delish and carry a lot of weight with it.

Delicious and affordable - Edit
The whole menu looked great, and I was impressed with my meal. I got what they described as a vegan version of the Crunchwrap Supreme from Taco Bell. It was handheld which I appreciated since I'm just visiting for work and was on my way there, so I could eat it and drive. I also got the queso which they brought out first and I enjoyed while waiting for my to-go food. I also got a churro and a concha bun that I ate later.

Overhyped? - Edit
I’m updating my review because my impression of Vegos has changed. Their spicy chicken sandwich on a concha bun is THOROUGHLY deserving of 5 stars, however their other menu items are not. I’ve tried a number of their New Mexican items (burritos, enchiladas, tamales, agua frescas, and other things that I can’t remember right now) and have been severely disappointed. They charge a lot of money for what their food consists of. Most dishes are mostly beans, grains and lettuce. I also have found the food to be under seasoned. I recently tried the green chile cheese tamales and was appalled considering how quickly they kept selling out. They were filled with just a stick of tofu, not seasoned, minimal green chile, and undetectable cheese. They were also very small and very expensive. Maybe I have just been ordering wrong or maybe the Burque vegans are just thrilled to have a fully vegan restaurant…. But I certainly do not understand how they have such a high rating.

Pros: Chicken sandwich, All vegan menu, Very friendly staff
Cons: Expensive , Some menu items are very meh, Not a lot of indoor seating

I agree, nice staff but over priced. The food isn't very tasty had a burrito with old hard potatoes in it which was upsetting and I ordered the fried soppa fries which were bland. I was hoping for more flavor and fresh food. We need good vegan restaurants in ABQ another disappointment.

What Happens in Vegos - Edit
OMG! I saw this place on an ABQ Vegan Facebook page. I was not disappointed. I had the Garbanzarizo breakfast burrito and it was truly amazing. It had a crunch and the flavor was better than any non vegan I had trued in my prior life. Also had an apple empanada. Delish as well.

New Mexico Culinary Icon - Edit
Vegos is a New Mexico culinary icon. This is the kind of place that people will be talking about years from now. The seitan burrito is a perfect combination of rice and beans with nubs of chewy seitan. The seasonings. spices and texture all meld together in a warm chewy tortilla. The personnel behind the counter could not be friendlier. This is my go to place any time I am in the Duke City.

Good NM food! Enjoyed various burritos plus elotes, fries, churros, sopapillas, enchiladas, and their faux-chicken sandwich. A standout are their vegan chiles rellenos- quite delicious with rice and beans. I hope this place is here to stay!

10/10 DO recommend - Edit
We found Vegos on Happy Cow while on a road trip. Soooo glad we did! We had the best vegan meal here since we left home. My husband ordered the Bosque burrito and I ordered the Seitan burrito. We both opted for hand held with Chile inside the burrito. The agua fresca watermelon and lime was super refreshing. We also got the Sopa Fries for dessert, which came out warm fresh from the fryer. I was also excited to see that they had gluten-free blueberry empanadas! I ordered one of those to-go for my gluten-free mom. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to vegans - and omnivores, too!

Wow. Really good food and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We tried the cali burrito, the enchiladas, and loco tostaritto. All were delicious. Enchiladas were stacked versus rolled if that bothers you. Made no difference to me. Definitely worth timing your stop to eat here.
