Wirklich ein super Restaurant, welches gute Grössen hat (falls man nicht so viel isst, besser wenn man die Hauptgerichte zu zweit teilt). Die Getränke und das Essen waren grossartig.

Despite being packed, the service was insanely fast. We enjoyed all the food, just giving 4/5 because my vegan meat strips were very dry. But we‘ll be back to try dessert and coffee!

Vegang offers a lot of well thought vegan dishes, that even my non-vegan (and very skeptical) friends liked. They have the vegan "duck" made by seitan, that surprised us. Not cheap, but worth it. Also the place gives you the right mood :)

I was here with my omnivore colleagues and all of us were absolutely overwhelmed by our tasty meals. I had a starter and a main dish and sadly I was so full that I couldn't have a dessert. Maybe I will eat here again when I am in Berlin the next time! The prices were also completely fine😄

Egal welches Gericht man von der Karte nimmt - sie schmecken alle sehr gut! Das Essen wird sehr schnell serviert, man muss wirklich nicht lange warten. Ich selbst bin eigentlich kein Fan von Fleischersatzprodukten, die Seitan-"Ente" hat sogar mich überzeugt😄

Es ist drinnen sehr gemütlich zu sitzen und das Essen ist auch sehr gut. Ich würde auch sagen, die Portionen sind sehr groß und so konnte ich noch Suppe mit nach Hause nehmen. Gerade die Hauptspeisen sind wohl sehr (veganes) fleischlastig aber so natürlich für Alle attraktiv, da es sehr nah am Echten ist. Es gibt aber auch eine ausreichende Möglichkeit nur Gemüse-Gerichte zu bekommen. #Veganuary

Have been there for 3 times - one time with a nice experience in 2022, two times with a rather mixed experience.
Read moreThe third time / yesterday I had the minced V-meat with Udon noodles (instead of rice noodles).
The V-meat was very watery in the sauce and didn't taste very well seasoned.
I asked about this and was told that the V-meat would be watery because I ordered the meal with Udon noodles instead of rice noodles and that it would be impossible to fry Udon noodles...
I wish I would have been told about this before.
My ginger tea with oranges tasted also a bit bland.
Service was so-so. I was noticed three minutes after entering the restaurant even though it was only half full and there we're two members of the staff next to the entrance...
The menu card is very promising and maybe it was just not a lucky day then?

Vegang looked pretty busy at 8pm on a Thursday night after a heat advisory day (that I spent mostly at home trying to avoid), but I still managed to get a seat outside. (No one was sitting inside given how hot it had been.) The staff member for my table was a pro: he knew to swing by and take my order after I made eye contact and gave him a slight nod.
Read moreFrom their house-made cold drinks, I ordered the Hanoi Mystery, which was my first good decision. The fresh mint had not been muddled with the rest of the juices, but I took little bites of the leaves here and there to integrate their refreshing flavor. The fresh passion fruit and orange slice garnishes were also welcome additions to my meal.
The star of the show was the Duckin’ Good: a seitan-based duck rice dish, which I ordered with the red curry-coconut sauce. By special request, I had it made spicy; and it had a pleasant level of spice. The variety of fresh vegetables, the perfectly cooked rice, and the crunchy “skin” on the outside of the duck combined with the softer texture inside was satisfying.
As I paid my bill via NFC on a handheld terminal with my server at the end of the meal, I complimented how the duck was possibly the best prepared seitan I’ve ever had. And he recommended I also try the chicken next time, which is actually his favorite.

Brilliant food, tasty and a lovely range! Even my carnivore partner enjoyed it. If you're not feeling like a rice or noodle dish, you could go tapas style with the number of small plates they offer.
