Delicious! - Edit
I had the Greek sandwich with a homemade cashew nut feta (super yummy) and a freshly squeezed orange and pomegranate juice, everything was great. The service was also really good, very welcoming! Will definitely recommend😄

Good - Edit
Everybody like their food. Be aware the Souvlaki is super salty (like everything in Greece) and all the desserts are heavy on the stomach.
Read moreI liked the zucchini pie, though very oily (and salty, of course). The mayonaise tastes like egg (black salt?)
The place itself is quite loud due to the music and road close by.

Traditional Greek Vegan! - Edit
This place has lots of vegan versions of Greek classics. A bit pricey for Athens but it’s a great spot with indoor/outdoor seating, great service and food.
Read moreI had a bunch of stuff including the traditional pie, the zucchini pie, cashew feta cheese, and the soy souvlaki plate with extra tzatziki sauce and pita. All super filling and delicious, especially the feta cheese and souvlaki, they were stars.

Big portions & individual - Edit
The portions are generously sized. We had the appetizer platter and the main course for two people. The appetizer platter didn’t indicate that it was for two, but it’s easily enough for two. The pita bread is gluten-free, so it tastes a bit different than usual. The flavors were varied and delicious. It’s a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the city. There is seating available both indoors and outdoors. The service was very friendly.

Nice place to be - Edit
I like the Veganaki a lot!
Read moreHad a pretty good time and felt very welcome there twice. ☺️
The service was great, the food is satisfying.
The Greek salat could have had a little more pizzazz and the Soy Souvlakis consistency was a bit to less crispy for my taste.
I needed some extra salt for the Moussaka but then it tasted great. ♡
Next time in Athens I definitely would visit it again.

Good place to sit - Edit
The service at first was bizarre but overall the food was good and it’s mostly a nice sit down spot if you’re looking for one. Coffee was excellent. Hazelnut milk is an option! Soy ball souvlaki plate was a hit!

Good place to eat and drink coffees - Edit
We had some traditional dishes but we wished they had more flavors as spices or herbs. In global, dishes were good but a bit expensive. They use local and organic products

All the hotties are here - Edit
I came here after visiting the Temple of Zeus. This restaurant is very close to many tourist sites in Athens so it's easy to get to for breakfast or lunch.
Read moreOne of the things I first noticed was everyone in here was a dude, and a hot dude. They guys working and the customers too. I am not used to that. Most of the time I only meet vegan women and it was really nice to see so many attractive vegan men (or at least attractive men eating vegan food).
I came around brunch time and got a little bit of both.
I got the smoked tofu and I got the Veganaki special. To drink I got a greek frappe.
The smoked tofu would be the perfect light breakfast. The sauce gives it a sort of egg flavor, but it also is very smokey and lighter with the pita bread and arugula (rocket).
I also wanted to try a bit of everything so the special sounded perfect because it comes with falafel patties, Greek salad, vegan feta, fries with mustard, and tzatziki sauce.
They warned me that I ordered too much food and they were right, but I didn't care. I'm an American so I'm used to big portions. But I should have listened anyway because I stuffed myself.
The special is refreshingly tasty. The falafel is really good and not too dry or overcooked. It was really nice dipped in the tzatziki sauce too. The salad was huge and I really enjoyed the vegan feta. I wish I knew how to make that so I could add it to salads at home. It was the right amount of creamy and crumbly and tasted very fresh as well. The tomatoes were juicy, the onions were crunchy, and the olives gave a great Mediterranean flavor. The fries are the most disappointing part. They are hard and fairly tasteless. They have some herbs on them, but compared to all the other fresh foods on the plate they were underwhelming. Luckily, not eating those gave me room to finish the rest of my food.
I also highly recommend the frappe. It's iced coffee that isn't horribly bitter and has thick coffee foam on top. The coffee flavor is smooth and easy to drink. Because it is iced it is perfect for a warm day.
This is a great spot to get a vegan meal with Greek flair. I recommend coming here while visiting Athens!
Pros: Huge portions , Lots of seating , Lots of choices
Cons: Fries were just ok

Traditional Greek food — but vegan, and amazing - Edit
This all-vegan restaurant absolutely blew me away. They serve traditional Greek dishes, just fully plant-based, and everything I tried was full of flavor and made with love.
Read moreThe staff were incredibly kind and welcoming — you can really feel the warmth in the service, which made the experience even better.
Do keep in mind that its on a busy street and the restaurant is rather small. Hence, if you're easily overstimulated by lights flashing, traffic, background conversation and music, please take precaution.
Pros: Traditional dishes done well, Super friendly people
Cons: Busy street

Great restaurant with a good selection of Greek specialties and other vegan-friendly dishes. The quality and taste of the food is well worth a stop. Then there's the service, the atmosphere and place☺️. The souvlakis🤩 dish is divine and the tzasikis sauce...you have to stop yourself from licking the plate.🤤

Delicious & healthy food is a great combination! - Edit
We sat there in the evening and felt that we need to try more food from the menu next visit, so we came back again at this trip and it was great both times!
Read morePay attention that in the Greek Style Burger, the burger IS the feta cheese (more like a cheese sandwich in a bun), which was very good!
Also, if you’re asking for a sauce, it will cost 2 euro extra.

Delicious Greek Food, Vegan Style - Edit
If you're a vegan in Athens, wanting to try the local cuisine, this is the place to visit. A friendly welcome, and delicious food... what more is there to ask for?
Read moreIt's worth noting that the restaurant is quite small, so unless you want to sit outside (not recommended for February!), arrive early or make a reservation.
All round, Veganaki is a great place to spend an evening in Athens!

a tad disappointing - Edit
a 2.5 out of 5. nothing necessarily "bad" but pretty underwhelming. i had the falafel plate which was mainly tomato, the tabbouleh was essentially just parsley and the falafel were no better than supermarket bought ones. we also had the greek pizza, the sweet potato dough was a nice touch but had too many tomatoes as a topping which was not needed when there was a lot of sauce. overall was quite mushy and bland. both meals definitely needed a LOT more flavour. the peach iced teas were pretty nice and the staff were very friendly. considering this is the most expensive meal i have had in athens so far, i cannot help but be disappointed.

A great experience - Edit
It was off my route and far from my accommodation, but well worth the walk! Having loved Greek food ever since being a kid, this was a truly memorable one and the best of all, 100 % vegan. A nice platter (Veganaki special) for a solo traveler wanting to have a bit of this and that. Their cashew feta is the best ❤️
