OK food bit more a tourist trap - Edit
Sort of faux hipster place in the middle of tourist hell. It’s also conveniently located close to some good music venues though. Overall this gave more the vibe they’re just in it to make a lot of money and they’re not into veganism.

Went there for dinner. I had loaded fries and a burger. Both tasted good, but as with all the food in the Netherlands it was a bit oily (deep fried), which my stomach was not accustom to.

I guess if you're in the area and super hungry this might be a decent option, but the burgers really aren't very good and the atmosphere is quite depressing.

The VTB was a great experience because of the excellent service and delicious food. The atmosphere is very cozy. My friend was undecided on what to order because of all the amazing options and our waiter suggested the perfect choice (the falafel rice bowl which she said was super tasty and a very generous portion). I had the avocado burger and some perfect sweet potato fries. This place is a great value for top notch experience.

The food was great! We had a smokey burger, a chicken burger and for our 6 y-old daughter a classic burger without onion and lettuce. She loved it! The burgers were good and tasty with generous sauces. The staff was nice… it is weird the way the place is furnished: it seems a normal pub for “big male meat eaters and heavy drunkers” but instead it is all so animal cruelty free! I still wonder if the staff is vegan too but anyway a nice vegan burger dinner in amsterdam in a vegan family trip.

First evening in Amsterdam, and wanted to grab some fast food, so we decided to go to Vegan Temple Bar.
Read moreThe place is reminiscent of a fairly ordinary burger bar, as the names of their burgers also suggest - it's just that all their burgers are vegan. So we just had to try.
We ordered as usual two different ones and shared them. The choices were “Smokey Temple Burger” (the one with the black bun) and “Chicken Burger” (the one with the pink bun). We also ordered sweet potato fries and twister fries.
The food came pretty quickly and the flavor was good.
If we did not know better then we would have thought that it was “real" burgers and not vegan.
Although we were there a little late and were lucky to get a table when we arrived, it was quite busy and customers arriving after us had to wait to get seated.
The atmosphere was good and then there is just something about neon lights - love it!
It is definitely a place you can invite someone who does not normally eat plant-based.

My friend and I decided to have dinner here, on a day where we hadn’t had any lunch. Safe to say we were ravenous. For the two of us we ordered six things total. We had Nachos, the Classic and the Chicken Burger, the Shoarma Wrap, Sweet Potato Fries as a side and as dessert we had the Chocolate Brownie. The Nachos were good, but I did miss some sort of “meat” in it. The Classic burger was really good for if you’re craving a real meaty burger. The Chicken Burger was just, as the name suggests, a chicken burger. Nothing too special about it, still good, though I would not get it again. The Shoarma Wrap was absolutely delicious, especially if you order garlic sauce on the side. The Sweet Potato Fries were also great and the Chocolate Brownie with the whipped cream was very, very good. We devoured everything and were fully satisfied! The staff was also very friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Ordered once take-away, and another time ate there. Both times the food was great. Enjoyed the fries and the burger. It's for sure not a fancy place (it is has a bit of a fast-food vibe to it), but the staff are definitely nice. Had a chat with the owner, super friendly guy who did his best to keep this place going in spite of the pandemic (one of the reasons he switched to a fully vegan menu).

The overall experience was a bit disappointing. Both our burgers where lacking flavor and the patties where a bit sloppy and missing some crispiness. The loaded fries where very tasty and even had some bacon bits. The staff was also very friendly. Overall it did the job of feeding us but we won't be coming back

I ordered the temple burger and it was delicious, just a bit cold and we waited quite a bit for it to arrive. The staff was nice, but we felt the owner said he was vegan without actually being it. The terrace faces a very busy street with mopeds passing by at high speed. I haven't seen the inside area, though.
