Tasty, fresh, filling, reasonable

Great food - Bibimbap was fresh & tasty. The cutlet with curry was a good Katsu version. A couple of large beers & all for £20. Happy & content after a good vegan feed. The robot waiter was cool too!

Pros: Food , Price , Robots

Tasty interesting food. Easy to order via tablet. Lots of options. Solid portions. Reasonable price. Nice place. A robot waiter might bring your order.

Amazing

No words. Very tasty food. Cheap beer. Quick service. Robot was cool. Nothing was overly spicy the 'spicy fried chicken' was the highlight (very mild spice). 10/10 would come back.

Vegan in Myeongdong

Pros: Preis, Bibimbap

Cons: Nicht scharf genug

Finally! Vegan Korean Food

Back when I lived in Korea I would watch enviously as friends ate spicy soup - just wishing someone would make a vegan version. Today I was finally able to eat some for myself! The portion of budae jjigae was HUGE and very satisfying. The spicy chicken had a great texture and flavor. The space is a decent size, too, so I didn’t have to wait for a table.

Pros: Korean food, Ease of ordering

Great vegan chicken!

Really great garlic chicken and noodle soup! The staff were really attentive and chatty and the robot server was adorable. The garlic chicken was a showstopper by itself and the noodle soup was the perfect dish to go alongside it. Would 100% recommend! 👌🏻

Lacks authenticity

Like others have stated before it's kind of a tourist restaurant. I had the tteok-bokki, which had pumpkin in it. It wasn't too bad. I also had a chick'n wrap. Interesting as it had corn chips in it. Almost everyone dining there was a foreigner. It just feels a little gimmicky with the robot server and all. A meal is a meal, but I think there are more genuine vegan Korean restaurants out there. Maybe Vegan Insa or Drunken Vegan(I didn't go on this trip, but have been before).

Pros: Wifi, vegan

Cons: gimmicky

Excellent vegan Korean food albeit a tourist spot!

Initial review (5 stars): We arrived shortly after they opened on a Friday morning. It’s a large space with plenty of seating. Definitely seems like it’s geared toward tourists but the food tastes authentically Korean nonetheless.

You order via a tablet on the table (multiple languages available including English). You’re served by a robot which is a kinda cool yet somewhat strange experience (although our drinks and payment were done via a server).

We ordered two dishes (both of which were really good):
- Dolsot bibimbap
- Kimchi fried rice (has some heat in terms of default spiciness level)

Overall, really tasty, sizable portions, and very affordable!

UPDATE (4/8/25): Returned to Vegan Kitchen for one of our last meals in Seoul. Tried three new dishes — all decent but none were particularly outstanding (unlike our previous visit).

Ordered the following:
- Rice with Curry: very strong pungent flavor which I disliked but my partner enjoyed.
- Tteokbokki: Pretty good but not super remarkable
- Fried Dumplings: Just okay, not super flavorful

Vegan tteokbokki 😍

I was so excited to try tteokbokki after seeing it in various K-dramas and this place thoroughly delivered. I was so satisfied. The bulgogi with rice and fried chicken with garlic sauce were also fantastic. Would highly recommend Vegan Kitchen.

Everything was delicious

We had the "fish" cake soup, tteokbokki, and kimchi fried rice. Everything was delicious. I do think most customers were tourists and/or foreigners, but that's understandable as it is a touristy area and the restaurant's name is written in English. With that being said, they offer tons of veganized Korean food. I highly recommend this place. It's completely vegan and also Halal friendly.
Update: Went three times during my trip and enjoyed each dish and experience.

Vegan Kitchen - 비건 키친

Venue
The venue is easy to find, quite large and has enough combination of seating and tables to accommodate a single, a pair or more dining together.

Service
I was given a friendly greeting and seated. A dish of complimentary salad including kimchi as well as a jug of water was promptly provided. Ordering is done via a tablet on the table with four language options, which displays the WiFi password and attached paper notes also provide information on the location of the cutlery and the toilet facilities. My drinks order was brought to the table in less than a minute after ordering. My food arrived roughly 10mins afterwards. Delivery was made by a human rather than the robot doing the rounds.

Food
I had fried “chicken” pieces in garlic sauce with sesame seeds in an L size portion. This was more than enough for me as my dinner of the day at approx 7pm having had lunch at approx 1pm. They were nicely cooked with a somewhat firm and chewy consistency. The garlic sauce was applied in just the right amount, enough to completely cover the “chicken” but not drowning it.

Price
Well worth it. Especially compared to what I’m used to paying back in the UK.

Quite nice

The restaurant is quite popular with foreigners. I haven’t seen a single local dining while I was there and the restaurant was packed. The food was nice. I tried two dishes that I haven’t tried before. The japchae was better than the tteokbokki.

Delicious vegan korean food

Love when I can try traditional korean food in its vegan version. Everything I tried is very healthy and delicious, in a span of two days I've been there 4 times.

I tried the beef and chicken wrap, the rice and cutlet platter, and budae jjigae (ramyun). My favorite was the rice and cutlet platter, definitely get it if you visit the restaurant.

Super cool bonus: the food is served by a robot!

Great vegan option in Myengdong

We ordered the bibimbap, kimchi fried rice and the spicy chicken wings. The kimchi rice was a stand out, super delicious. Bimimbap was also good, fresh and lots of flavour. We were disappointed by the chicken - expected a spicy gochujjang sauce but it was sweet and very thick. The robot serving was novel, too! Great to have Korean vegan options.

Pros: Korean vegan food, kimchi rice.

Tasty food

The menu is good, with nice variety of choices. The positions I ordered were delicious but the portions are big. At least for me, I had a Pork cutlet poke and Fries and couldn’t finish everything😄

It`s nice that you don’t have to communicate with the waiter to order and receive food, since you have to order through the tablets on the table and the food is served by robots. Good for introverts 😊

The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.
However, it would be nice if the menu has other drinks rather than Cola and other soda beverages.

Good choice for Korean food

Extensive menu of vegan Korean food, which is easy to order on the screen at your table. The menu is available in multiple languages. It seems very popular with foreigners so you won't have any issues ordering!
Highly recommend the japchae, really delicious.
The portion sizes are quite big and ideally the dishes are best suited to sharing between a small group, so you can try lots of different things. The amount of food is generous for the price, and you are also served some small side dishes for free!
The service is quick and efficient. They accept card and cash.
The inside of the restaurant itself is a little basic but completely fine, just not a super fancy restaurant!

Pros: Easy to order, Value for money
