Lovely place

This place was so nice, and portions so filling between the two of us. The person who served us (the owner?) was so friendly. They have pictures available of all dishes, with captions in English and Korean. No desserts noticed at the moment. A nice peaceful setting.

Big love

Friendly people and a sweet place with a beautiful inner yard. Very good quality food, definitely worth the price. Also ordered the amazing Kimchi Quesadilla (my fav), but don‘t have a picture of it because we couldn‘t wait to eat it. So yummy! This place deserves support.

Incredible food!

My partner and I came here twice on our visit to Seoul, it was conveniently 2 minutes from our hotel! The food is so good - my faves were the dumplings and the kimchi quesadilla! But everything we had was really good and large portions. The people who run it are so lovely 🥰 also the setting is lovely with the cute courtyard and old renovated building.

Pros: Tasty food , Friendly service , Beautiful building

Lovely vegan place!

Such a wonderful place with lots of options. Run by staff that already worked at maru JaYeonSik Kimbap. Super kind and incredible welcoming!
The food was delicious, many different options and sizes on the menu. Prices are very fair. The location is lovely, you can tell they put their heart in it.
Maybe not that easy to find if you’re not explicitly looking for it, but it’s worth a visit. Very calm neighborhood as well. They also have a bigger table for groups!

Authentic Tteok Mandu Soup !

The place is quite small but very cute, as it is in a traditional Korean house Hanok. That was really delicious. It really tastes like the non-vegan version. I removed one star because I had to wait at least 5 minutes to get sitted and then 5 minutes to order food (the person seemed very busy to serve other people). I felt a bit ignored actually.

Mein Lieblingsort für kalte Nudeln! :)

Super schöner kleiner Laden in einem Hanok - das Bibimguksu und die Reiskuchensuppe sind sehr zu empfehlen, das Personal ist super freundlich und bemüht.

Food reflects price

Setting is really sweet in an old Hanok, both seating inside and out. Staff is really friendly and helpful showing pictures of food off the menu. Menu is a little limited but that’s okay - would be good to have a few more options always.

California rolls are amazing, other portions are v big so be sure to share. Texture of the soy chicken is 🤌🏼

Pros: Setting, Value for money

Cons: Limited menu

Modern Korean food in traditional house

This restaurant just opened, but it is run by people who have been working in the vegan restaurant scene for a long time! At present, their menu is very similar to another vegan restaurant Maru Jayeonsik Kimbap (most of the staff used to work there before), but this may change over time. The menu currently includes modern Korean dishes, street food, Asian fusion food and even Western-style sandwiches, which have been veganized with mock meat, vegan egg alternatives and more!

There are dishes with rice, noodles, dumplings and deep-fried foods. Some dishes definitively are better than others, but it generally tastes okay. My favorite here is probably the fried soy chicken, because it is crispy and has a nicely chewy and stringy texture!

Portion size is quite large and prices are comparably low. If you order from the menu section called "meals 식사", you will get 1-person-dishes. If you get something from the "cooking 요리" section, you will get very large portions that are normally shared among a couple of people.

The restaurant is in a traditional Korean house (hanok 한옥), which has been modernized. There are a couple of different eating areas, e.g. a separate room and a small courtyard in the center. Personally, I find this setting beautiful!
The restaurant is located in a quieter part of Ikseondong (a hip restaurant area), next to the shopping street Insadong.

Pros: taste ok / good (depending on what you get), low prices, friendly staff, beautiful setting
