Posto piccolo e accogliente

Good food and peaceful atmosphere

I ordered california rolls which were perfect for a hot summer day. The flavors were super vibrant and it hit the spot. The restaurant is tucked away from the touristy noise and traffic and has beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. Loved it.

Fake meat heavy

We tried the kimchi quesadilla (yum), tteokbokki with dumplings and fish cakes (good except for the fish cakes, which didn’t taste of anything and didn’t have a good texture), and the bulgogi (nice, but again texture wasn’t the best). This place is very heavy on the fake meat and was sold out of a few options. The portions are big, and flavours nice, but I didn’t like the texture of most of the fake meat used - a bit slimy.

Pros: All vegan, Nice flavours , English ordering available

Cons: Part of the Loving Hut cult, Too much fake meat, didn’t like the textures

maybe the highest protein vegan food in Seoul

The building is very cute. You order through a big tablet which has English translations. The food came quickly.

However, I personally did not enjoy my food much. I had the Korean BBQ chicken, which was quite dry, chewy, and not that flavourful. There was no sauce on them so I also ended up eating the rice I ordered plain. The chicken seems to be dehydrated soy TVP chunks, so it's probably very high in protein, which was the one big plus!

They also have a big screen that continuously shows cult propaganda. A bit distracting and annoying, but at least there was no sound.

Nice looking restaurant with good food

Here you can eat vegan versions of classic Korean dishes. Portion sizes are impressive, luckily the kind staff offers to take the leftovers home.

Good Food

Be aware that this restaurant is operated by followers of sectarian leader Ching Hai!
We tried the bibimbap, bulgogi rice, and fried chicken. The bibimbap was tasty and the best we had so far. The bulgogi rice was very rich and tasteful as well. The fried chicken were also good but not the best. The kimchi and soup on the side were okay. It's strange that so many items are apparently sold out. The staff is kind and helpful.

Cosy Restaurant with Veganized Korean Classics

This was our first meal in Seoul and set the bar very high. We enjoyed the tteok-bokki and the cold soba especially. The Korean chicken was okay, a bit too chewy. The fermented pumpkin drink was quite interesting too!

Korean inspired vegan

Tasty vegan versions of some traditional and modern Korean dishes. Fried tofu bites with curry or chili seasoning. Bibimbap with fresh veggies and even a vegan egg! A couple menu items could be made gluten free.

Pretty good

Nice place, food was pretty good. Portions were big. I like tteokbokki but this was bland and I didn't like it that much. But the rest of our food was delicious.

Good bibimbap

Petit endroit, on est arrivé à 15h soit le moment de pause mais ils ont bien voulu nous servir le fameux bibimbap. Le sikhye à la courge était délicieux.

Pros: Gentillesse, Boisson

It's fine

We waited around an hour for a table. We didn't mind waiting but the long wait was compounded by stressed staff and unclear ordering systems. The couple behind us had travelled a long way to visit and almost had a fight, I wouldn't suggest going out of your way for this place.

I enjoyed the pumpkin sikhye and the fried dumplings. The dish I ordered was unavailable so they suggested a swap to the vegan shrimp. I was tired and hungry so agreed but honestly I never want to eat a real shrimp or a vegan shrimp. The buckwheat noodles were pretty good but nothing spectacular.

Cons: The system to order was unclear, The staff were extremely stressed and overwhelmed, Lots of dishes unavailable.

Not all it's said to be....

Was looking forward to this one from all the reviews....

Sadly, not worth the visit... lots of Items sold out and very much "fried" items remaining on the menu.

If you're looking for healthy vegan then there's better options in Seoul.

Pumpkin drink was very good though!

Pros: Location, Pumpkin drink

Cons: Fried options, Limited menu

Delicious vegan Korean food

Great place to try vegan versions of traditional Korean dishes. Nice selection, good taste and lovely atmosphere. Their vegan fried egg, which comes with some of the dishes, is amazing, I'd love to get the recipe :).

Tteokbokki love

Nice vibe setting with some tables outside. All vegan menu loved the spicy Tteokbokki, my friend enjoyed way less spicy bulgogi. The pumpkin juice was only okay

Yummy, big portions, cheap

Went here with Omnivores, who loved the "Shrimp", which I would highly recommend. Everything was good. Portions were much bigger than expected. The Tteokbokki were in a very spicy sauce. The vegan fried chicken was s little chewy for my taste, but still good.
You order at a kiosk in the front and thrh bring it to your table.

Pros: Great taste, Big portions, Fast service

HUGE PORTIONS AND DELICIOUS FOOD

we ordered 4 dishes and we were not expecting those portions to be so huge!!! Definitely value for money. We knew the food was going to be good because of all those great recommendations and everything lived up to our expectations and beyond! They have a vast choice of traditional Korean recipes - all veganised of course - the location is super cosy, the service extremely fast and the staff warm and kind.

Pros: Huge portions, Many options, Fast service

A gem in Insadong

An incredible first meal in Seoul at @vegan_insa, located in a beautiful, historical area of Insadong.

We ordered too much, but greatly enjoyed the rice cake soup, fried dumplings, tteokbokki, and vegan chicken.

Maybe I am so used to NYC costs, but dining out in Korea was super affordable. These 4 dishes, plus two drinks was $37 USD.

DAY 1 Where we walked through: Myeongdong, Lotte Department Store, City Hall, coffee at @felt_seoul, King Sejong Statue, Gwanghwamun gate and Geongbokgung Palace, Lunch at @vegan_insa, afternoon coffee at @jongro_coffee_boss, Tapgol Park, Insadong Culture Street, Traditional Teahouse in Insadong, dinner at @flowerrice_official (post coming).

Tasty veganized Korean food

We ordered dumplings, tteokbokki with vegan fish cake, mushroom bulgogi and vegan fried chicken. Everything was very tasty! The fried chicken was a bit dry, would have been better with a dip sauce.
The vibe is also very cozy, with a small garden.

Love love love this food

This is by far the best food I've eaten when visiting Seoul for the weekend (friday-monday).

The portions are HUGE, which is awesome and at the same time a shame, because finishing multiple dishes really is a challenge😉

The dumplings are these big fat, stuffed little cuties cooked crispy to perfection.

The kimchi fried rice comes with a faux egg, seaweed and some pickled sides. I really looooooved this dish.

Came back for a second visit and will come back if I visit Seoul again.

Also, the restaurant is very cute and there are activism posters - I have a soft spot for activism driven restaurants. Much love!!
