Breakfast
Extensive menu of Vietnamese breakfast soups, hot pots, stir frys, clay pots, baked tofu dishes, plus salads and sandwiches. Many dishes contain soy or wheat-based mock-meats. Nice atmosphere with high ceilings, linen table clothes, lots of plants. Try the lemongrass tofu and the pho bo/ga, and bun rieu (vermicelli crab with a tomato base soup). Meals are served with hot tea. The menu is translated into English but very limited spoken English. Previously located at
62 Phan Dinh Phung. Open Mon-Sun 7:00am-9:00pm.
Lunch Break: 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm.

Banh mi bread contains dairy - Edit
The menu offers a huge variety of food and the price is inexpensive too. The restaurant has been refurbished and the menu refreshed. I didn’t eat here so I cannot comment on the food. The restaurant was super empty and the staff attentive.
Read moreI asked whether the Bahn mi bread was made with any milk/butter (due to my allergy) and the lady said it contained butter. The restaurant is signposted as vegan outside, I would recommend double checking when ordering your food whether your dish has any dairy in.

I dint get the buzz about this place. Crowded, uncomfortable, Service not good. - Edit
Well it was very crowded, there were not enough waitresses and waiters. We had to wait until we got the chance to order (rather by accident, as one waitress rushes besides our table and we stopped her) - well the kitchen still forgot to make our order so we waited more than 60mins...food was ok though. I still wouldn’t come back because the restaurant has the charme of an Ikea-Foodhall...

Sehr gutes Chay Restaurant - Edit

Lots of choice - Edit
Very big restaurant with many choices! The Bao and bamboo leaf wrapped dumpling (???) Were so tasty! And the lemongrass tofu was excellent! We also got fried chili mushrooms, fried rice and seaweed soup, portions are generous and the staff there were very accommodating. We couldn't finish all of our feast, luckily they have take away containers.

Not good - Edit
We did not enjoy our meal here. Several options but all were strange. We had spring rolls, dumplings, Pho, and a spicy noodle and were not fans of any.

Découverte, cuisine saine & accueil fantastique ! - Edit

Best Vegan Phỏ We Had In Da Lat - Edit
We ended up going to this location and the other about three times. The first time, the food was amazing. The other two times it was good, but not as tasty as the first time. Not sure if our tastes changed or if the food was actually not as good. Anyhow, we recommend the coconut shake!

Really tasty fake meat and variety - Edit
Hoa Sen had an extensive menu choice (not everything is always available though) and pretty reasonable pricing. We had the most amazing ‘pork’ which a meat eating friend described as better than actual pork and another friend really enjoyed the ‘fish’ in tamarind sauce.

Nice food but understaffed - Edit
Nice decor and large menu (although vegan options aren’t marked). We had mushroom pho, banana blossom salad and curry noodles. All was tasty but there didn’t seem to be enough staff as it took a while to get their attention and some things we ordered were forgotten. Limited English spoke but menu is in English as well as Vietnamese so you can point.

Food nice, service bad - Edit
Pros - Food is nice, I enjoyed the Banh bao (dumpling) and combination soup. You must try the hot soya milk! It’s delicious! Usually locals dining here as well as monks. Cons - I’ve been here twice and and both times staff will not look me in the eye and it takes a long time for anyone to come take my order. I think it is because I am a foreigner? The staff were pleasant with local diners, and in fact I shared a smile or two with the locals dining there! Staff need to be more friendly to improve the experience.

Food and service were very bad - Edit
The Food was really bad (we had 3 different dishes and only the rice with vegetables was okay. Our 4th meal was not served (neither our ordered drinks which they wanted us to pay for. The service was very bad nobody said a word to us the whole time or even ignored us. Many different dishes, we probably ordered the wrong ones.

Went here several times in my time in Dalat and was always thoroughly impressed with the food and the extensive menu. The mushroom pho was a standout winner and deliciously warm on a cold day. Even the meat eaters I was with loved it! Will miss my daily pho!

It’s....alright - Edit
After 5 hours on the bus from Mui Ne we chose to eat here, completely based on the reviews below. Struggling to see what all the fuss is about to be honest. Tofu was swimming in a shop bought sauce the pak Choi was fried to death, the mushrooms were tough but the Banh Xeo was quite tasty. The menu is huge so you might have more luck but I find the bigger the list the less chance of it being fresh. Aside from the food they emptied the bins three times whilst we were eating but gave us some free tea.
