Remember to visit the park next door for lots of musicians and the outdoor karaoke amphitheatre.

There is only one place in Berlin, where you can enjoy the best imaginable vegan gyros (besides the gyros dish in Restaurant Viasko): At Georgs stand in Mauerpark and Markthalle. Simple, handy and perfectly made vegan food. Just perfect if you’re around in need for a quick, tempting, roasty snack between your teeth.

Hatte mich schon unglaublich gefreut endlich dazu zukommen das berühmte vegane Gyros zu probieren und war leider etwas enttäuscht. Ich hatte das Glück, dass zudem Zeitpunkt keine extrem lange Schlange vor dem Foodtruck war, jedoch fand ich 5€ oder 4€ für ein Gyros schon sehr teuer. Für diesen Preis hätte ich mir auf jeden Fall mehr Geschmacks Erlebnis gewünscht, denn das Gyros schmeckt wie gut angebratenes Fake-Fleisch ohne Gewürz und die “Joghurt-Soße” hat das ganze nur noch langweiliger gemacht.

OMG! I was looking for a vegan option of gyros for almost 1,5 year. If you think about to come to the Mauerpark on Sunday you should definitely come hungry and you must try this gyros. After first bites I started to think about that I am eating a real meet. It is not super healthy food but if you have cravings for a „meat“ junk food you should definitely try this gyros and you will be not disappointed.

We had the small (rather than large) gyro - which came with salad and sour cream dressing, making a good-sized lunch.

Recommended if visiting the Sunday Mauer Park market - which also has several other vegan options.

This stand only serves one thing and they have perfected it! For Mauerpark the prices are reasonable. The staff is nice and their stand was pretty bussy when we came over. Its probably the best vegan gyros i have had yet :) The food was just what we wanted on a cold hungry afternoon.

Since i discovered this juicy, delicious, meaty greek style gyros pita the first time, I come back almost every sunday to get me some more.

First it really tastes like meat, and is seasoned hearty and beautifully. And I almost couldn't believe that the homemade tzatziki sauce is made without dairy products.
The salad is fresh, and you can choose between wheat and wholegrain bread. I recommend to get some homemade chilli topping on it too!
I heard the guy will have a stand on the klunkerkranich foodmarket every saturday soon.
Check this food out!
