Harajuku pit stop - Edit
A good spot for ramen while we spent an afternoon in Harajuku. A short wait mid-afternoon, as one would expect for such a busy area. Food was good. No complaints !

Good if you’re not in a hurry - Edit
At 3pm on a weekday, it took about 45 minutes to get seated and receive our food, so perhaps not the best place to eat if you’re in a rush - but it’s popular for a reason! I was intrigued by the sound of the grilled cheese curry and it was delicious. Poutine was a little disappointing though - could’ve done with more topping

Nice Place To Break On Takeshita Street - Edit
The food came out quickly. I ordered the soy meat grilled with extra vegetables. The soy sauce added to the dish was great and went well with the soy meat. The meat was moist and flavorful. The dish is heavy on bean sprouts so be mindful of that. The broth the meat is in as delicious. The soup has an interesting taste that got better the more I drank it. After the meal, I had the raspberry moose chocolate cake. This desert was quite good the bitterness of the raspberries paired well with the sweetness of the chocolate.

Vegetarian Lunch! - Edit
Arrived at 2.30pm on a weekday and had a long queue till the staircase. Waited for around 30mins to get seated. Seats were limited as the place was small.

Despite being oriental vegetarian (no 5 pungents), there are many options available! Vegan and vegetarian options both available
Whole lot variety of food
I'm deeply in love with their karaage chicken because it tastes like the actual chicken. Almost got shock. Their ramen were solid too. I found the mentaiko rice unique because it's not common to find mentaiko in vegetarian dishes. The sizzling hotplate smells superb too! I recommend to try! The mock meat tasted soooo good after being grilled on the hotplate! The fries were kinda normal, feels fries with normal chilly flakes.
But I'm definitely coming back here to eat again!

Tasty ramen - Edit
We arrived at 6.50pm on a Tuesday and had a 50 minute wait for a table. Be warned that it's very busy! There was a big group seated right before us, so it took a while for our food but it seemed like we were unlucky and everyone else was getting served much faster.
Read moreWe ordered some karaage to share. Unfortunately it was very pale and not well cooked, to the extent that at least one piece still had wet, uncooked batter inside it. We got one piece that was perfectly cooked. The mock meat itself is fantastic, with a really great taste and texture. I've had this dish there before with no complaints, so I assume this was just an off day.
Two of our group had the vegan kobonshan (garlicky tonkotsu ramen). It was a really generous portion of noodles and some fun toppings - though just one piece of meat feels a bit skimpy. I recommend paying for extra. The broth was fantastic, really garlicky and savoury.
The other member of our group had the vegan karabon (spicy ramen). He loved how spicy it was and raved about the broth - though he was also disappointed in the small amount of mock meat on top.
Even though our karaage wasn't a hit this time, I'd still highly recommend it and definitely be back for another round of ramen. Get there early to avoid the queue though!

There's always a line outside this place. The dishes are original and good. The desserts are a bit of a let-down, though.

Great Taste, Questionable Service - Edit
To begin, the winding staircase to reach the 2nd story was like walking into a scene out of that horror movie Hostel, but that has its own brand of charm I suppose. I didn't see nor try the elevator in or out.
Read moreUpon arriving I was asked by a sign to scan a Bar code to see the menu. This is the second barrier to entry, and for some a non starter, my phone almost couldn't use the file and its another ask to use precious data simply to see what they offer to eat.
The wait to enter was 20 minutes or so, and even though its a small one room establishment the flow was okay. Although the music they were playing was essentially Russian battle hymens and so one got the feeling you weren't supposed to dally but eat and be ready for the hordes rushing about outside the place.
So the reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 was when I ordered extra ramen to go with my food the waiter told me to wait until I'd finished my first portion before ordering more. The only three reasons I can see for this are 1. waste or 2. loss of profit, or 3. It would effect the taste, but 1 assumes I can't finish what I order, and 2 assumes they aren't charging appropriately for their extra portions, or in any case should not offer it if they will make more money saving it for a full dish. So I suppose only 3 is really justified, which considering a true connoisseur of food makes the most sense.
So as you might expect, I finished the dish, it was very good, but wanted that extra ramen as I knew I would. And, as you'd expect, I had to wait for much longer than I wanted to wait to get that extra portion in a soup which was already going cold. I ordered the extra anyways and it was satisfying, if not half as much as it would have been had the waiter simply taken my money and given me what I ordered.
On the other hand I could just as well have insisted on the extra portion from the start. But in my mind I was thinking, 'Okay, perhaps the portions are stupendous and it will be a waste of food and money,' so I went along. Moral of the story, when you know what you want don't be dissuaded from it.
Long story short the fake meat they provided is probably the best I've tasted in Japan, though as a vegan I'd rather just eat veggies, the ramen was hot and thick but not hard, and the broth was exceptional in taste. The food is good all around, though the burger and the gyoza looked small compared to other places.

Amazing food! - Edit
The food was amazing. We had the Konbonshan Ramen and Grilled Cheese Curry— it was all so, so good. We were also able to pick up some vegan instant ramen while we were there which our Natural Lawson had run out of. Arrived on a Saturday at 5:30 pm with a little wait, but seated by 6 pm. Total pro running the show with seating and ordering, constant rotation of customers, but we didn’t feel rushed.

Great food and presentation! Super fast service - Edit
Even though the queue seems long, it was our turn pretty quickly and the food was served super fast, so it’s great even during lunch break. Ramen were not my favourite but I loved the quesadilla and grilled meat platter. In general, great diverse options for every taste and staff was very friendly, too 🌸

Excellent find. Great location - Edit
Right opposite Harajuku station, if you look up there is a neon 'vegan' in the window. Serves not only 2 types of ramen but also has a burger, tacos and gyōza. Prices were around 1400 for a main, not bad for down town Tokyo. It was busy and we had to queue but he took our order as we waited and the food was promptly served. All our meals were really tasty and we treated ourselves to the tasty little desserts too.

I ate the ramen here and it made me feel exactly how I used used to feel when I’d eat instant ramen while watching cartoons as a kid. I mean that in the best way. The broth was so balanced and I felt so blissful here. The dessert was soooo good!

Incredible 😲 - Edit
Everything was amazing! The grilled soy meat was so tasty, especially with that glaze they drizzled on top. The gyoza was hands down the best I've tried in Japan. The included soup was also quite enjoyable. I also tried the vegan mentaiko, which was nice; it reminded me of a spicy mayo served over rice. As for the raspberry cake, it was probably my least favorite. The raspberry layer was great, but the chocolate cake part was just average.
