Good, interesting food

This is a stall in the Mercato Centrale in Termini station, so a great option if you’re with a large group with different food preferences/restrictions. They have veggie burgers and salads - it is all vegetarian or vegan, but not clearly labeled which is which. I got the Casablanca burger- the veggie burger itself wasn’t outstanding, but the chickpea-and-pistachio hummus, vegan lime mayo, fennel, and caramelized red onions really made it a great sandwich. If you get the potato wedges with it as a combo it’s less than ordering each separately.

Pros: All vegan or vegetarian, Interesting condiment combos

Cons: Vegan not clearly labeled

Cold disgusting veggie burger

The one or two vegan salads they offered had a bunch of fresh veggies, but the vegan burger with hummus was disgusting. The veggie patty was cold. This was temporarily masked by how bread-y the buns are, but I couldn’t finish it as it was just gross. A waste of 10€. Stick to the salad if you go here.

Interesting burgers, but not very flavorful

Transferring my review from the Marcato Centrale Roma listing to here:

I went to the vegetarian burger stand twice, tried two different burgers and the potatoes. Both burgers were good tasting and quite large but for me the bread-to-ingredient ratio could have been better, I mostly tasted the bread. The potatoes also lacked a bit of flavour and were a bit too greasy.

As for the location itself, it’s practical to reach but very loud and the bar-style seating is rather uncomfortable.

Really do not recommend at all

I had the Casablanca burger which was made vegan, and it was literally the most disgusting burger I have ate in my life. In the past 4 years I have been a vegan, I have only not eaten(disliked) two things and that was a steak meat replacement, and this burger....
I couldn’t even eat it, and that is so unlike me..😂
I love my food so much!
But the burger itself crumbled to the touch, it felt like I was eating a flaky pastry! The bun was super dry too, and the flavours together did not compliment each other at all.
I had to down a bottle of water after a few bites as it made me so thirsty😒

I also had the potato wedges that come with it, but they were so smothered in oil and soft and greasy, and with an overpowering herb flavour, that having a few became super super sickly.(they are also super salty too)

Pros: The “make your own salad” looked alright, Great location

Cons: Waste of money(sadly) , Super dry, salty and terrible flavour combinations, Wedges were overpowering herb flavour

Ok if you need it

It’s a busy place, being in termini. Nowhere to sit to eat it. I really enjoy food that is brown and hot usually. This was a little weird that everything in my burger was the exact same color and value of brown. I had the Casablanca burger, not labeled as vegan but was told that was one of the 2 vegan options by the staff. I couldn’t really tell the difference from my burger to the bun other than one was mushier than it was crusty. It’s a pretty chaotic environment but it is nice that there is a food option at the train station.

Not fantastic

First on the location-it’s in a hectic train station, you are not likely going to be able to sit and enjoy your meal. Probably best to plan for takeaway. I was told only two burgers were vegan, ordered the one with hummus. I was really surprised at how boring it was. Lots of bun, SO much mayo, a sad bit of caramelized onions and a bit of lettuce, saw no evidence of hummus. They had what appeared to be a well stocked salad bar, why not throw a couple tomato slices on? The potatoes were decent and convenient for takeout since they’re roasted and not fried. Not awful, but it gets a 🤷🏻‍♀️ from me.

Almost fine

Two out of five burger were vegan. We tried both. The one with eggplants was nice, warm and juicy... So I would take it again. But the other one with hummus wasn't enjoyable. There was almost no seasoning and it tasted like one mush, that was a little bit to dry. The roastet potatoes were nice and really cheap in a set, but they were way to salty. For me it was almost impossible to eat them all.

Pros: faire price, filling

Cons: bad seasoning

Very gourmet and filling

Loads of vegetarian options here and although most of them appeared to be vegan too it wasn’t very clear. The burger meal deal is great value for money, everything is made up fresh for you and the chef working there clearly cares about food preparation, presentation and quality.

Pros: Good value for money, Loads of options , Fresh ingredients

Cons: Vegan items could be more clearly labelled

High class food court

Inside of central train station in very nice food court. Find a seat first, then go for burgers... it's crwded at times 😉 High food quality of potatoes, oil, burger patty, bread. English not really spoken, I did show pics & google translator, so garlic-free & vegan went well (note: they do not label "vegan" and do not know that milk/cheese/mozarella is not vegan). Two vegan burger options. Burger'n'fries = 10 € flat. It is fast food but excellent.

Terrible

Terrible burger. No flavor. Patty was ice cold. Returned it for another. The staff were very nice but the second burger was the same. Cold. Inedible. Potatoes had no seasoning and were super oily. €15 for inedible food and a juice (which was really good). Would not recommend.

Pros: Good juice, Friendly staff

Cons: Bland, cold and inedible burgers. expensive.

Great Quick Option

Did the exact job we needed it to. Great tasty burger on the move. So much nicer than a standard "fast food" burger

Good fast food

This is the same as the Mercarto Centrale Roma listing. It’s a stall in the station food hall and has many vegan burgers, salads and chips. This was good, quick food and was very flavoursome!

recommended for travellers

The food stall is located in the market hall of Roma Termini. We took a salad (you could decide 5 ingredients, including Violife cheese) and warm potatos. A good choice when you are travelling and want to have food fast but not necessarely fast food. The burgers looked good too, though.

Pros: fast service, tasty, good location

Good fast food

It's fast food so don't expect Michelin Star quality. I was happy to find vegan options in the station area while waiting for a bus. The ingredients are varied, the taste is good. I would go there again if I were around.

Pros: Tasty, cheap, quick, in a good location

I love these burgers

We went here three times in two weeks because it was so nice and handy for lunch in the main station. There’s two vegan burgers but they can all be made vegan. It’s so quick and the vegan sauces are amazing. It’s a really nice place to sit too with a food market vibe. I’d highly recommend!

Pros: Tasty food, Cheap, Quick

Not great

Don’t get the burgers, they have no flavor and feel very dry. Maybe a salad over there is better...?

confusing. go to the artichoke place across the path instead

The burger place was confusing. Veg burgers with mozzarella on top?
I went to the cream of artichokes "crema di carciofi" across the passageway and got Jewish artichokes, deep fried, potatoes and mushrooms, potatoes and artichokes and caponata. All vegan and delicious! not gluten free due to cross contaminating. Great food for 15 euros! Typical roman dishes. Forget the burgers!

A bit bland

Hard to describe what was in their vegan burgers, it tasted bland and looked like nothing I ever triee before. The bread was nice enough though.

Horrible

The burgers were horribly dry tasted like nothing I should’ve bought a salad. The smoothies were also bad. Completely disappointed.

Worst burger

This was the worst vegan burger I’ve ever tasted. It was indistinguishable from cardboard. Absolutely flavourless and fell apart like sawdust.

The bun was toasted so it went hard and the patty was warm. No seasoning at all. It was just mush.

It’s so easy to make a nice vegan burger. This was such a lazy half arsed attempt.

Such a shame as vegan food can be so delicious and full of flavour. This gives veganism a bad name.

Pros: Looks lovely from the outside , Many options , Nice looking salads

Cons: Rude staff , Flavourless food , Expensive

In Roma Terminal - never again!!!

I ordered the Popeye burger and small chips for take away.
The burger was quite large, but upon eating it i found the bun was warm so we're the chips but the veg patty was cold. I was so hungry I had to take the patty out and eat the rest of the burger.
It was a nice meal but my opinion is for the price of €8 I would at least expect a warm meal.

SECOND CHANCE FAIL
I decided to give this place a second chance as I was super hungry.
However let down again. I tried a different burger but the burger patty was cold but bun was hot - again. The portion is quite large and by the time you get half way through the bun was soggy.
Chips were hardly cooked and I received a smaller portion than the night before. I ate maybe 4 small chips and had to throw out again.

Suggestion to owners smaller portions and cook the patty more thoroughly so warm.

Pros: great location, big serving

Cons: cold burger patty - disapointing, Second chance fail

Ottimi burger vegan
