Brilliant vegan food - Edit
This is Il Vegetariano è Vegano by Marcella Bianchi which is on the 1st floor of the lovely Mercato Centrale. The food is great - lots of vegan options and you sit in the middle of a bustling artisan produce hall. The natural juices are also very tasty. A great lunch option for vegans. We have aubergine fritters with cauliflower side and hummus. Delicious

If you’re vegan, don’t waste your time. Apparently the only truly vegan options are the bowls with canned corn, iceberg, etc. The broccoli isn’t vegan? Nope. The artichoke? Same. Asked a second guy to confirm. What stock are they cooking things in that makes them not vegan?! Or is it cross contamination issues? Happy Cow rarely steers us wrong, but they did here. * Read the google reviews! *

Upstairs in the Mercato Centrale - veggie and vegan burgers. Large portion, also paid €2.50 for fried potato wedges. Would recommend if you are after a burger. Also do lovely smoothies.

Very nice to see a fully veggie option in Mercato Centrale. Sadly vegan options weren't specified so you have to ask the staff. I got a ceasar salad together with some baked potatoes and a pie as dessert. Everything was delicious although the chicken in the salad was average. The potatoes were great as they had some delicious spices on them.

Had the vegan burger which was ok but definitely have had better. The roll was quite tough and was just a veggie burger that was from a packet (not homemade) Great to have a vegan option in the Mercato. The vegan mayo was nice with the potato wedges.

The two stands that were vegetarian/vegan got merged and the people work there seem stressed even though it is not busy at all. So you get your burger hardly done, cheese not melted and you’ll be hard pressed to oreer stuff anyway. Such a shame cause the patato’s are pretty good.

I was happy to find a vegetarian/vegan place at the market but ended up disappointed. The person working there did not know the difference between vegan and vegetarian and said everything would be vegan but they have burgers with cheese and meals with eggs. The menu does not help in making things clearer as there is no clear distinction between vegan and vegetarian. I had the wok and did not like it that much. It was a wild mix of veggies that were not necessarily Asian (edamame mixed with olives) and not a great sauce or anything. My friend had the halloumi burger which had only a small piece of halloumi and dry bread. So unfortunately we cannot recommend this place.

I am glad this place exists in the Mercato, but the food was mid. I went here twice for convenience. Not bad but not anything special. I wish it had some Italian dishes veganized rather than American food.

This is INSIDE mercato centrale and upstairs. We had a bit of a hard time finding it, but it was worth it. I was hesitant on making it a point to go here bc I figured we could get stuff like this back at home. So glad we went. Think a little healthier fast food option. Everything we had was very, very tasty. I thought the chicken sandwich would be better with no ketchup- so I would ask for no ketchup. The flavor is already so good, ketchup kinda dilutes everything else. Caesar dressing on the salad didn’t really taste like Caesar, but a very nice dressing. Fun vegan desserts as well. Really wish we could go back.

Chickn burger was slathered in ketchup and impossible to eat. Not very good besides. The chocolate cake was dry and bland. Service was mediocre. Prices were way too high.

We had the sautéed rice and the vegan Cesar's salad as well as one can of Kombucha. The latter was REALLY expensive though (5€ per can). As for the food, the rice tasted good but not great and the salad was just a really small portion compared to the price. But the staff has been really friendly! There was no lack of hygiene as far as we could tell and no doves around. I would recommend it if you're currently in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to come back again.
