Good food and friendly service! - Edit
Visited one lunch time with the family and despite my reservations that it might be “too vegan”!? for the kids they really enjoyed it and got stuck in. Interesting menu and tasty food and if you’re a vegan or not you can’t go wrong.

It's nice that there are vegan bars to go to and overall this bar was good. The staff was friendly, the inside space and outside space was nice.

My friend had the Pepi burger and she enjoyed it.
I chose the curry burger and I just felt it was filled with way too much. It was full of toppings and heavily filled with a curry spread, it was too much, I couldn't finish it.
Sometimes for me it's about keeping things simple but tasty.

Me parece genial para la gente joven como yo que no disponemos de grandes cantidades para gastar y aun así queremos comer comida rica 🌱. Aunque el precio es inmejorable las cantidades no son pequeñas y no te quedas con hambre.
También he probado algunas cositas de la carta y todo esta espectacular, pidas lo que pidas, todo es un acierto.

the staff are really good at explaining the menu because sometimes not everything is available, the service is speedy and there’s heaps of variety (some local foods and some italian/thai as well), the food is served beautifully! the vibe is very relaxed and nice. really liked this place!!

The only downside was the quantity of the food offered with the lunch menu, but given the price/quantity ratio this place was the best option, and it was also the best food I have eaten during my week stay in Bilbao.

I went here because of the great reviews (and because it's not THAT easy to find good vegan options in Bilbao) - was a little disappointed... I had the menu of the day which was a lentil bolognese and nice but nothing special and the restaurant is not very cozy from my point of view. I also took a pintxo to go for later which I really enjoyed, so maybe I was just a bit unlucky with the main dish (and as mentioned, it wasn't bad just nothing I would go back for)

A few months ago I gave their partner bar La Camelia (also a vegan establishment) a bad review on the basis of poor hygienic standards that they do nothing about, even if compelled to do so.
Read moreAfter having eaten here at least half a dozen times, I'm afraid I have come to the conclusion that the same is true of TxuKrut. One of the owners was actually on duty, after a solid meal we told him to charge us and he took our cash. Then he proceeded to handle some lemon, that he was about to put in a drink, WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS. While I understand this might be more widespread that I'd like to think, and maybe even common in certain circles, I can't, in good conscience, continue to support this type of business due to this total disregard.. especially given the fact that the place wasn't even particularly busy. I also remove it as one of my ambassador picks, until the appropriate measures are taken.

After reading so many very enthusiastic reviews for Txukrut I made a special trip to find this restaurant whilst visiting Bilbao.

The menu was pretty basic and uninspiring. The member of staff was pleasant enough but despite the reviews, didn’t speak English and couldn’t explain the dishes.
My partner and I order hummus which was decent with nice bread. I ordered the seitan ragu and my partner the cannelloni.
Mine was bordering on tasteless- really disappointing. I struggled to finish it - in fact I didn’t. My partner said her dish was okay.
The wine was good. The service poor.
Overall - very disappointing considering the reviews. If you’re looking for basic food in a basic environment, it would just about fit the bill.

Delicious local vegan pintxos in nice bar/ restaurant - Edit
This is heaven for the vegan that wants to indulge in local pintxos (high quality version). On the big bar (or sitting at the tables) there is a variety of vegan local food that is - without exagerating - delicious! Croquetas wit carrot or cheese, great great burgers (we ordered them again after tasting them), sandwiches, tortilla, lasagna, salads, desserts, just name it. Everything we tasted was of great taste, made with care. Very friendly staff and very affordable prices! The owners completely get it 👌.

I hardly recommend this nice restaurant in the centre of Bilbao. They offer quite different dishes, all vegan. We tried Shitake á feira (delicious!), lasagne and a burguer, and we liked all the plates. The personal was very friendly. All perfect!
