Must Try This Very Japanese Cafe - Edit
I was so excited to find out about this cafe! I had almond matcha latte, a matcha cake, karepan (weekend special only, don’t miss out) the Japanese way! Aww these were so good! Must come back to try Karepan again as it was divine!

Beautiful Japanese cafe with a great selection of food and drinks. The katsu sando was simple yet so flavoursome. The yuzu citron tart was light and refreshing, really hit the spot. Can't wait to return for a second visit!

Would give more stars if I could - a don’t miss in Toronto - Edit
Awesome spot. The food was delicious. Everything was so good I went here 3 times in 2 days. The only bummer was that they don’t have much seating and so if it’s busy there is a chance you have to eat on the street which I’m never a fan of. The tiramisu was to die for.

Precious Toronto establishment - Edit
Please protect at all costs! Tsuchi cafe is one of my ultimate favourite places ever. They serve some of the best dessert I've ever had, bomb-ass drinks, and offer a unique, satisfying and delicious all vegan selection of food, treats and drinks. The vibes are immaculate, the staff is always lovely, it is a wonderful place to hangout, read or spend time with a friend, and they have really cute products on top of their food. Exquisite Japanese cafe, that I hope does really well for a loooong time, and continues to serve (in more ways than 1, but in this case as a based vegan cafe with delicious offerings) as someone else mentioned, actually goated place 🐐

Exquisite, yet humble food & space - Edit
"Tsuchi" translates to "soil" in Japanese, symbolizing a foundation that nurtures life and growth. Venturing into Tsuchi Cafe, I fell in love with every aspect as they embraced this beautiful concept. The ambiance gracefully transported me back to Japan, the service was efficient, and the food experience was nothing short of perfection.
Read moreChoosing where to begin was a delightful challenge, but the allure of a "savory donut" drew me to the Kare Pan. This fluffy bread, stuffed with the signature 12 spice "beef" curry, coated in sourdough panko, and fried to crispy perfection, left me in awe. The juxtaposition of the crunchy exterior and fluffy interior, housing tender "beef" curry with just the right hint of heat, made each bite a unique and satisfying experience. I loved it so much that I couldn't resist ordering another one to go!
Craving something sweet, I ordered the Silky Vanilla Flan, described as one of Japan's most popular sweets. The custard's silky texture, infused with traditional flavors and drizzled with caramel syrup, left me calling it "absurdly good" in my vlog. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, with fresh vanilla bean flavor and a delightful burnt caramel taste. I savored every silky bite, even appreciating the jar it came in enough to bring it back to the states for reuse.
I also ordered an Oat Milk Cappuccino, yet the delectable food stole the spotlight, making it challenging to divert my attention elsewhere.
Conveniently situated on College St., Tsuchi Cafe offers a few indoor tables, and I suspect there might be outdoor seating in the summer. Among the stellar plant-based spots in Toronto, this one takes the top spot in my book!

Absolutely delightful - Edit
I’ve been wanting to visit for a long time and I’m happy to have made the trip. The cafe is small with very limited seating but they have wonderful desserts, snacks and tea. If ever you are in the area or are wondering if it’s worth the effort to battle traffic and lack of parking, this place is delightful.

Everything here looks so good that it's hard to make a decision, but the pistachio matcha tart was perfect! It's the best dessert I've had recently. I'll have to come back to try the Miso Caramel Kabocha Cheesecake.

I've never been to Japan, but I'd like to imagine that it's just like Tsuchi Café. We just popped in on our way out of Toronto, but what a great little place. The signage isn't really helpful, so you're likely to walk right past it!

cute and cozy atmosphere inside the cafe. delicious treats and drinks. I love to grab some bites here and chill. The cheesecakes taste just like the real thing and are very creamy. I also highly recommend the karepan (curry bun), which they sell as a take-home frozen package (IMO it’s even better when eaten hot)

Good food but could use more seating - Edit
I was intent on trying the curry rice and/or other hot food items, but unfortunately the kitchen only opens on weekends and I was out of luck. Bummer! I ended up getting a kare pan (fried curry bread) and a matcha tiramisu; both were delicious. I did also check out the bathrooms because of the review below and, yes, there were very much aesthetically designed. All that said, seating was very limited—there were only three tables with six seats total and a bench by the entrance with three low coffee tables that were not at all comfortable for dining in.
