Overrated

It's ok if you are in Tokyo Central Station and need a vegan place to eat, but it's not as good as people say. Ramen is a bit bland, and the protein is just dehydrated soy without being cooked.

Great option in Tokyo station!

We had the rice bowl and the black sesame ramen. Both were solid choices. Also did the pistachio and matcha gelato and both were very good. Good option if you’re passing through Tokyo station!

Have to try at least once when arriving in Tokyo

One of the vegan restaurant open over the new year and I had to personally find out for myself why they also received Happycow Award. Went there for dinner 2 consecutive days. Here's my rating:

I was lucky the Yuzu Flavour came out the day after I had my first experience with T's Tantan, so I get to try two different flavours.

First impression of entering this shop: 1) Basket to place my belongings, 2) insulated water jug to quench my thirst, 3) the environment smells like peanut butter / sesame sauce coming from the kitchen. Lovely.

Gyozas, and the soy meat rice are equally as good.

Oishi!

Pros: Smells Heavenly, Unforgettable, Convenient

So good!

We paid the 150 yen to access the JR tracks just so we could visit here (just tap your IC card in and out). I had the yuzu soy ramen which was tasty but light; I also had a half portion of gyoza which came with an amazing dip. Food arrived quickly, overall very efficient. We didn’t have to queue (this was 12:30 on a weekday).

Tasty & healthy ramen

There are other good vegan ramen in tokyo. Since Tokyo Station doesn't offer many vegan alternatives it's convenient!

Always love T’s Tantan

This location seems to have a smaller menu compared to some other locations? Got the gold sesame special and I would probably not get it again. Not a fan of the cheese ball.

If you have a peanut allergy, stay away!

This restaurant looked delicious but I did not eat here so can’t actually review the food (I didn’t want to give a low rating for food I did not try). I have a moderate peanut allergy and have never experienced an allergic reaction to food particles in the air until stepping foot in this restaurant. My throat started tingling after taking one step inside. The smell of peanut was truly overpowering. So, this is probably a great restaurant to go to but for your safety, stay away if you also have a peanut allergy!!

Must-go in Tokyo station !!

Absolutely amazing Ramen inside of JR Tokyo station!! You have to buy a train ticket to get here, try to find a red Keiyo line it’s little bit hidden because of a wall, near the book store. If you are lost, show this to somebody and ask for a direction → 東京駅構内の京葉線の近くにあるビーガンの坦々麺のお店(T’s Tan Tan)に行きたいのですが。近くに本屋や小さなユニクロのお店があります。

Best ramen I’ve ever had!

This is an absolute must-do in Tokyo. I cannot express how delicious this ramen is. I have been multiple times every time I’ve visited Tokyo and literally have dreams about this place. Do yourself a favour and get T’s golden tan tan ramen - you will not be disappointed!!! I’m salivating as I type this, it’s that good!

Very nice vegan ramen at train station

Very nice location of the spot since it was easy to eat after getting off the train. The restaurant has a nice vibe and a lovely staff. I really enjoyed the vegan meat and cheese that you can add on to the ramen. I wish they had a few more ramen options but very tasty. Loved the matcha!

So so so good

Extremely good. Had the golden sesame tantanmen special and it was incredible.

One thing to note!!! The train I came in on was the opposite side the directions give. So I followed signs to Keiyo line and ended up literally at the Keiyo line without seeing Keiyo street or of course the restaurant.

If you’re coming from the other side or make it all the way to the literal Keiyo line:
1. Take the escalator up out of the boarding area.
2. There should be a big stair set and escalators at the “end” with people mostly coming down, go UP that.
3. Should be long flat escalators now just ride those and you’ll eventually make it to Keiyo street.

Good luck !

Great ramen at train station

This is an excellent vegan option at Tokyo station (note: you need to be swiped in to the station, you can’t just walk in from outside). The black sesame ramen was delicious. They also sell some packages of instant vegan ramen (it is VERY hard to find instant ramen at 7 Eleven/Family Mart/Lawson that is vegan). Their iced matcha was also amazing.

Vegan at it best

I have had better vegan ramen but this place is 100% vegan therefore deserves a 10. And it was yummy, the fake meat was superb.

Loved this place

Tokyo Station is massive and we had difficulty finding this place, but we are so glad we did. I was little concerned because it was a chain, but food was fresh and tasty. We went back a second time during our trip, again we struggled find it. Unfortunately on our second trip it was a bank holiday weekend and there was a really long queue for tables, so we had to get a take away and take it back to our hotel and again enjoyed the food.

100% worth finding

Thank you Happy Cow community for convincing me this place was worth finding! (Japan Travel website has some useful instructions for that part)

Genuinely the best ramen I have had, although it is only my first day in Japan😄I had the golden sesame tantanmen special and matcha latte and it was fresh, delicious and creative!

Great ramen in Tokyo Station

We had a great lunch here. The ramen was delicious and the gyoza were fine. The place can get crowded, but is very pleasant. Google maps can guide you to it in the station.

Hard to find and below average

I tried the golden _ ramen and the tantan ramen, but I was disappointed. The place was buried and really hard to find. The flavor of the broth was also lacking imo.

Delicious food!

This restaurant is difficult to find but well worth the effort. I asked at the Tokyo station information desk and they gave me a station map plus excellent directions. I found it easily!
The service is fast and the food arrived quickly. Lots of ramen choices plus gyoza, rice bowls, gelato, and drinks.

Pros: Delicious food , Lots of menu choices, Friendly English speaking staff

Cons: This place is a hidden treasure
