Delicious 🤤 - Edit
It wasn't hard to find. I don't think they speak any English but pointing at what you want on the menu and smiling seems to do the trick 😅 I had the Tantan bowl and some vegetable gyozas. Delicious all over. The service was wonderful. Food came out less than 5 minutes after I ordered it.

Between Green line 6/7 on the corner, service was great food was better. Only thing that could have improved it was an English button on the menu system but Google translate was easy enough

Fast, convenient and delicious - Edit
In the beginning it was a bit hard to find, since it’s located within the JR kaisatsu. It was my go to while I was living in Saitama.

Fast, convenient and so good.
You change the ramen to konnyaku noodles.

Vegan Tantanmen - Edit
Dropped by when I was traveling through Ikebukuro Station. If you're coming from or on the way to a JR train, it's not that difficult to find, but otherwise it might be mildly annoying. The food was prepared quickly, and delicious. They also sell their vegan instant cup noodles if you need a last minute souvenir.

Glad I finally got to it! - Edit
Despite reading and understanding the location instructions I found this place a nightmare to get to!
Read moreSecond attempt we finally made it and had the black and golden sesame tantan set meals (which wasn’t very clear on the self service). The food came quickly and the small restaurant was clean.
I also ordered a char siu side, this was cold and was nothing like the char siu I was expecting. The rice came with cheese which was something I’d never tried before, the dessert was thin vegan yoghurt with kinako.
We really enjoyed the ramens (good noodles) and they also sell their cup noodles. I bought 4 to takeaway which is the same price as one in London.

Delicious ramen! - Edit
Visted on September 14, 2023. The ramen at T's Tantan is phenomenal. I had it for the first time in 2019, so I knew I had to come back for more during my next Japan trip. We ordered the black sesame tantan, golden sesame tantan, vegan char siu, and soy milk yogurt with strawberry sauce. The broth is so flavourful and the noodles were chewy. I was pleasantly surprised with the soy milk yogurt too!

Finally got to try here! - Edit
Been waiting to try T’s Tan Tan for so long, couldn’t find the Tokyo station one last time we were here, passed through Ikebukuro on the way to Harry Potter studio tour so had the perfect opportunity.
Read moreYou order from the screen and receive a ticket. They immediately start marking your order and once it’s ready your number will come up on the screen and you hand your ticket to them when you collect your tray.
We got the Gold Sesame ramen with soy meat on the side which I added to the ramen and we made it into meal deal with dessert and entree on the side.
Ramen was delicious and super filling. The only downside is that this location didn’t have the gyoza here. 10/10 recommend though.
It’s located in the station just opposite Uniqlo when you get off the Yamanote line.

Lovely ramen - Edit
I ate here twice as I really enjoyed it and was super convenient as I was using the Yamamote line a lot.
Read moreAs per all station eats I think they can be hard to find! Some useful directions on other peoples reviews.
Use the vending machine to order and pay when you first walk in. Take a seat, keep an eye on the board for your number and then collect food from counter. Help yourself to water, cutlery etc. I didn’t understand the vending machine options and bought the set meal on my first visit, which included a side of rice with ?soy meat and a pudding. Was very tasty but personally too much food for me 😅.
Tip: you don’t need to purchase a ticket to this station if you’re not planning to exit this station. If you buy the cheapest ticket from where you start and then return to your start point (or one close to it) without leaving the line you’ll be saving a bit of money.
Pros: Everything vegan , Good place to eat alone or with others
Cons: Can be difficult to find

All-vegan menu. Tasty food. Reasonable prices. Hard to find:
Read moreAt Ikebukuro Station, enter through the JR South Gate. In the centre of the concourse, you'll see a bunch of gatcha machines. The restaurant is to the northwest of those, so if you entered from the south gate it will be on your left.
Your IC card will likely be charged 150 yen (I think it does so after 30 minutes, even if you don't go anywhere).

Good but a bit too sweet for my taste - Edit
I set out to find this highly recommended vegan Ramen chain, but it turned into a bit of an adventure. Tucked away within the intricate maze that is Ikebukuro Station, it took some navigating, and I arrived with a hearty appetite.
Read moreWhat I ate:
- Golden Sesame Ramen
Surprisingly, it came with more than I had anticipated. Alongside the Ramen, there was a small Rice bowl and a vegan Strawberry Yogurt dessert.
The Ramen itself was packed with sesame and peanut butter, along with what seemed like a satay sauce (more peanut butter, maybe?). This combination created an ultra-creamy texture but veered slightly on the sweeter side for my palate. Visually, though, it was a stunner.
The Rice was topped with soymeat and held its own in terms of flavor.
The dessert was a decent ending to the meal, offering a refreshing touch after the warm and savory Ramen. It featured a vegan yogurt with a Strawberry sauce.
While it was quite good, especially if you're a fan of sesame Ramen and peanut butter, it didn't entirely hit the mark for me. The portion size felt a bit excessive — having both Rice and Noodles felt like overkill to me. Some might call this a "luxury problem," but I'm just not a fan of wasting food, and Ramen doesn't make for great leftovers.

Nice Ramen Shop - Edit
When I lived in Japan, I came here with my roommate. I remember this place was a little tough to find in the train station, but once we did, it was worth it. You're able to order in English. I had the Tantan Ramen and it was pretty good; very flavorful. The gyoza were tasty as well. The prices were what you'd expect.
