Delicious and diverse vegetarian menu - Edit
This restaurant had a completely separate vegetarian menu which included vegan options. So tasty and a diverse range of options. Beautiful restaurant and scenery too.

Disappointed - Edit
Based on other reviews I was looking forward to be eating at this place. Unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations. I ordered the Vegan Curry, and it didn’t taste anything rather than being flaming hot. The tofu was bland, same applies to the vegetables, and worst of all it was the chef’s choice. I was there with a company of 8 and 50% was dissatisfied.
Read morePros: Great location., The food that was good, was really good., Good and fresh ingredients.
Cons: Expensive., 4/8 of my company didn’t like the food., Small portions.

Sustainable produce used - Edit
I don’t think dining can get any better! Their story, food and quality are top notch. Fancy, but comfortable place with special menu for vegans also. I am so happy they use organic & natural produce, too. I ordered Khmer style tofu which is tofu baked in a marinade of chilli, garlic, turmeric, galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves & coconut milk (served with brown rice & bok choy) - just wow! So delicious - you could actually taste all the flavours. One of my favorite meals what I have had here on Phu Quoc island. It is served like curry. For snacks I ordered their homemade sweet potato fries - not oily or too salty, made just perfect. The place itself is just so beautiful. Enjoy the view over the palm trees & the sea - good for sunset watching. You can go to the beach from their restaurant also. Just treat yourself ❤️

Fabulous food, lots of options - Edit
Make sure you ask for the seperate ‘special diet’ menu that has vegan options not listed on the main menu. We stayed at the resort (Cassia Cottage - amazing btw!) and ate in the restaurant probably 6 times and I still didn’t get through all the vegan options. Everything we had was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Delicious vegan options - Edit
The Spice House is something of a fine dining experience, in terms of ambiance and the creativity and excellence of their cuisine and presentation. However, the prices are quite reasonable, and casual beach clothing is welcome.
Read moreBe sure to ask for the special dietary menu, which includes many vegan options that are not on the regular menu. I ordered the cassia vegan curry, which is on the regular menu. It was delicious. I had asked for it to be spicy, and it was the spiciest dish I have had in Vietnam. Most restaurants I have been to tone down the spice for tourists, but this place does not, so keep that in mind when ordering.
After we finished our meal, I talked with the manager about wanting to write a nice review on Happy Cow. She was very nice, and talked about the restaurant’s commitment to sustainability.
Pros: excellent food, wonderful ambiance, friendly staff
Cons: ask for special menu with more vegan options
