Excellent pub food for vegans - Edit
Nice pub right on the market place. The fish and chips were really good and very filling. I'd definitely recommend this place. They seem to be very vegan friendly - they were advertising a vegan tasting night when we went.

The Market Pub is a great option if you’re visiting Chesterfield. It has a cozy atmosphere, plenty of seating, and excellent service. I ordered the vegan sausage and mash with a side of olives. About 10 minutes in, the chef personally came out to let me know they only had one sausage left, which I really appreciated. He kindly offered alternatives, and I chose the vegan haggis.
Read moreWhen the food arrived, it was beautifully presented with roasts and fried onions on top—a nice touch! Both the sausage and haggis were tasty, and the onion topping was a great addition. However, the olives were a bit of a letdown, as they seemed to be straight from a jar; I expected them to be marinated given the quality of the main dish.
Overall, I’d happily recommend The Market Pub for a satisfying vegan-friendly meal!

Fantastic food all be it on the more expensive side! We popped in as we wanted to try somewhere new, and were amazed with the vegan options. Great place to go in Chesterfield!

Very nice, old fashioned pub. Food was fantastic, I went for vegan fish and chips (the chips were AMAZING), My sister got the curry, she wasn't a massive fan due to the rice being slightly undercooked.

We visited with family and chose this pub because of the extensive vegan options. I had the vegan haggis, neeps and tatties and my partner had the mushroom burger and chips. This was traditional vegan food, a flat mushroom with chickpeas on a bun. It is so, so lovely to have proper food. We love the availability of meat alternatives these days, it makes it much easier for people who are just starting changing their lifestyles, but it's a treat to have something that we recognise as the kind of foods we'd have before then.

Big vegan menu with cassoulet, bangers and mash, haggis, superfood salad, tofish and chips, vegan chocolate cake and more. Adapted the salad for us to add haggis! Lovely pub with a nice atmosphere. The haggis and salad were both delicious clearly a top class chef. Was busy worth booking ahead on Fri, sat.

The food is a vegan take on pub grub such as fish and chips, and bangers and mash. As well as more restaurant-y food like the vegan haggis and the tagine.
I have tried both the vegan haggis and vegan fish and chips and both were excellent. The haggis was full of flavour and the chips are thick and succulent.
I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed with the quality of the vegan food this this cosy pub in the centre of chesterfield is producing, I felt compelled to write about it.

Have been to the Market Pub on a few occasions having the Vegan Haggis which is great as well as the vegan Burger which is also rather tasty. They also offer a nice vegan brownie and the staff are helpful and knowledgable. Has a nice cosy pub atmosphere and is reasonably priced too.

I've been to the Market Pub several times recently once we realised they now have a whole vegan menu. We used to come here before I was vegan so really great to see all the new options.
Read moreI've had the vegan haggis sandwich from the lunch menu as well as the vegan burger. Both were great. I preferred the haggis though. I've had better burgers.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Lunch menu is reasonably priced , Chips and some other sides are also vegan friendly
