Vegan options aren’t always vegan - Edit
I got served cow’s milk twice (in the form of yoghurt and in my coffee) after explicitly stating I’m allergic. Never got a sorry or a compensation. Will not be coming here again soon.

Delicious but not too big portions and pricey - Edit
We went here for breakfast and the café looks lovely. The choice for vegans is not too big but we were happy and it was delicious too. It's just that for the high prices you don't get big portions which is sad. We also enjoyed the protein shake which is nice to have!

We ordered pancakes, the burrito and the burger and we loved it all. The burrito had mango in it I think so if ur not into that better dont go for it. The pancakes were a little bland but with some syrup or sth its fine I think, you can just ask. Our drinks, the hazelnut frappuchino (?) and the pink matcha were 100/10 they were the best about the whole meal.

I had high hopes for this place, I really did. Tons of vegan options, beautiful interior; The Happiness Cafe looks like the textbook definition of a really nice lunchroom. But the pro’s definitely don’t outweigh the cons.
Read moreI came in around noon, so lunch hour. Google said moderate, but it was very busy. You cannot reserve a table online which is genuinely really annoying. Some people who were dining on their own already finished their food but stayed at their table for a long time. I am usually not someone who likes a time limit, but in this case it would’ve been better for guests and staff alike. It took me a while to find a spot that was suitable for me and my service dog; the bar. The bar itself was quite high even though I’m pretty much average height (177cm, 5’10), but the alternative was not great either so this was my best option. I placed my bag behind me because there wasn’t much space. After a while, I wanted to grab something from my bag but found it was gone. I panicked thinking someone stole it, but apparently a server took it thinking someone had left it. I get it if you’re trying to be helpful, but maybe ask the person sitting next to the bag if it’s theirs first.
I ordered a mochachino and the biscoff pancakes and specified both needed to be prepared vegan. They brought my drink out first. The moment the whipped cream entered my mouth, I realised they gave me the cow’s milk version and spit it out. They replaced it without a new spoon, so at that point I just used my finger.
The pancakes were bland. You could taste that they were made with some sort of whole wheat flour, but that’s all they tasted of. The Biscoff sauce was quite thin (but the only thing that actually had any flavour).
I would not come here again. Might try their other location to see if it’s better.

Nice place for breakfast or lunch. Clearly marked vegan items on the menu (and there is an English menu). Been here several times when in town. Today I had the Sticky Tempeh Burrito, which was tasty and packed with tempeh, edamame, veggies and mango! Yum! Came with tortilla chips and a zingy sauce. Friendly service and decent prices.

Decent amount of vegan options, gluten free is possible. I had the gluten free falafel burger and the nutella pancakes, both were great. I wish the burger had more stuffing but oh well.. it was tasty still😄The service was very friendly

Lekker food, disappointing service and ambiance - Edit
We wanted to come here as a group of 6 adults and 4 children. When we arrived on, to be fair, a busy Saturday, the staff seemed very unwelcoming and it was clear they weren't open to accommodating us. We left disappointed and went somewhere else for coffee and cake (pointer: try the Sissy boy cafe next door, top floor, some vegan options and nicer ambiance). My partner and I returned alone with our baby later that day for pancakes and we were initially told to wait outside in the cold despite there being a small amount of space for us to stand in inside and a few tables clearly on their way out. When we advised it was probably a little too cold for us to stand outside with our baby and with the heaters not on (they probably should have been on if their policy is to instruct people to wait outside) they thankfully agreed and allowed us to wait inside. As for our eventual eating experience, the place is packed out with tables to the point it is very difficult for both customers and staff members to move around. Staff seemed stressed and a little standoffish, although we were served fairly quickly as a positive. The pancakes were tasty, moist and very banana-ry but I don't think the chocolate sauce used in the vegan Nutella pancakes option tastes enough like hazelnuts to warrant the comparison to Nutella. Chocolate sauce pancakes would be a more appropriate title as the topping is rather thin and tastes like bitter dark chocolate. Also, more of it would improve this dish significantly considering the density of the pancakes. Overall, it was an okay experience but I doubt we would return considering the cramped environment, rushed ambiance and so-so food considering price paid.
