Giving vegans the Scottish experience! - Edit
How cool is that, getting to try a traditional Scottish dish as a vegan version? Taste wise it’s nothing special though but it’s just worth the experience. Also, it comes with a whiskey-mustard sauce which is a really interesting combination.

Ich hab keinen Vergleich, weil ich original Haggis nie gegessen habe. Ich fand es etwas zu pfeffrig, aber die Konsistenz ist gut und die Steckrübe und Süßkartoffel waren echt gut. Im Haggis waren Linsen eingearbeitet, was noch kann ich nicht sagen. Preislich find ich es etwas zu hoch. Der Service ist freundlich😄

Located inside the writing museum, you can get some lovely heart vegan haggis! This was our first time having haggis and we loved it.

Little gem - Edit
For first, I didn’t even notice this place as from the outside it looks like a community house somewhere near the end of the Royal Mile. When you go in, the feeling doesn’t change, it’s like a small buffet with a small menu, only a few items. I tried their vegan haggis (and it also happens to be gluten free which is a dream coming true). It was really rich in flavours, generally a very good experience as I never ate haggis before. If every haggis tastes like this, i am in for the long run. The only negative I can come up with is that they don’t have a gluten free vegan souce, so it was a bit dry. However as I had a chat with the really nice lady working there, it turned out she already realized that it’s missing and it’s the next thing o ln their list, so hopefully this will be solved soon! Absolutely recommend the place and will come back if I am in Edinburgh again.

hidden on the royal mile - Edit
A great little place inside the Scottish Storytelling museum overlooking the Royal Mile. Small menu of regular or vegan haggis (both gluten free), a vegan soup and coffees. Tasty, calm and good for watching people wander by.
