Great food and nice staff - Edit
Daily menu in the evening with one soup, three tapas, and one main. Between two it’s perfect to share the three tapas and a main. Bread and olives were delicious. Wine and craft beer was great. Super friendly waiter. Slightly windy outside and a shame there is no sun on the terrace in the evening but not their fault. The taste of the food was really fantastic

Nice place to have tapas - Edit
This a place where you should go with friends in order to share food (tapas). The menu changes on a daily basis. I tasted two out of three different tapas. They were both excellent. I did not really like my desert (chocolat cake with raspberry topping). Lovely staff.

Mein Favorit in Lissabon - Edit
Tolles Konzept.

Amazing little restaurant - Edit
This little restaurant is tucked away in very atmospheric courtyard. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their menu changes daily and they recommend you to share food. I love this idea. The food is worst every cent you spend here (not that it’s a lot, the prices are very affordable). On top of it all they have an extensive beer menu with Portuguese special beers. Some of those are so good. I would personally recommend the Murder if you like strong beers.

The food is well thought of, simple and tasty, could be a bit more filling for the price, but it's definitely recommended!

My favorite food place in the world - Edit
My favorite vegan restaurant in Lisboa, and I've seen many.
Read moreStaff are all wonderful and very sweet, the food is healthy, super tasty and always comes to your table very fast.
It is a small restaurant, which gives it a nice authentic vibe and if the place is full, you can have dinner outside on the stairs (very charming outdoor area with special tables to put on the stairs and blankets to sit on).
They pick good wines, have nice juices and did I already mention the staff being wonderful?
Go visit this gem if you have the chance!
Pros: Super nice staff, Lovely cosy atmosphere, Fair price for amazing food
Cons: Since popular, sometimes waiting time, or full

Cuisine rhapsody... - Edit
... And a very delicious one. The place may not seem very promising from the start, but soon you will understand that its intimate atmosphere is actually a very nice addition to the variety of flavours they have to offer. The narrowed down choice is something that suited me very well as taking food decisions isn’t really my thing. We ordered all the 3 tapas they had on the menu the only main that was there and we did not get disappointed. Quite the opposite! I think i can even speculate that their cauliflower and thyme pure was one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten (yes, we did order it twice :D). Simply—an explosion of flavours with a very good service in the top of that. Already cannot wait to go back there 3

Wouldn’t recommend - Edit
I was really excited when we first arrived here, the courtyard is beautiful and the seating is very unique. We were told that it would be a wait for a table (no problem) and that we could order a drink and a menu would be brought over. No one offered to take our drink order or gave us a menu and staff were hard to flag down. The food tasted okay, dessert being the highlight, but it just wasn’t worth the money or the poor service. We left still feeling hungry and disappointed.

Great food in a friendly and informal atmosphere - Edit
The restaurant is located in a beautiful courtyard with seating on the steps right outside. It's very picturesque and charming. The restaurant is quite small inside but has several tables that seat about four people and a long table in the middle. We were lucky that there was a last minute cancellation that meant we only had to wait a few minutes for a table (hadn't booked). We ordered two tapas which consisted of an "Asian salad" with cabbage and shitake and the other was eggplant and potato in a yoghurt sauce with nori. Both were nice however I found the latter more exciting. We also had the main dish of the evening; pasta with broccoli and white bean which was lovely and creamy. Delicious in its simplicity, sometimes less is more. It was cold when served though so we had to ask them to warm it.
Read moreI noticed several restaurants have daily specials which is a good idea as it keeps the stock fresh and the menu varied.
The service is excellent, friendly and attentive. We sat next to a couple who have made this restaurant their home away from home when visiting Lisbon and it's easy to understand why. The atmosphere is laid-back and familiar.
I will definitely go back if I get the chance to visit Lisbon again! In which I case I would make a point booking in advance to secure a table.
Pros: Well cooked and varied menu, Great service, Laid back and cosy atmosphere

A little place in Mouraria. - Edit
A cute restaurant with very pleasing atmosphere.
Read moreThe menu was:
1 soup,
3 different starters,
1 main,
3 desserts
The 3 of us were recommended to choose one of each from the menu to share, and then order more of whatever we liked best, and we did.
The waiter came back to let us know that they no longer had the soup.
The entres were small and not really suited to share.
1, humus with packet corn crisps was tasty but very small.
2, was tempura veggies, again small and not suited to share, even just for the taste.
3 was quinoa with grapes. It was OK, but simple.
It took a long time to get service.
The mains was tasty, packet spaghetti with a mushroom tomato sauce. It was cold, and we waited forever for more.
We knew they no longer had the lime cheese cake, advised to reserve desserts we did.
For whatever reason we got 2 desserts and ordered one more... But had also run out.
It was the third time I came to this restaurant and the last.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Slow, little choice on the menu...

We loved eating off of a little table on the steps outside of this cafe. You literally sit on the steps to eat- such fun! The menu is different each day. We tried everything on the menu (five items) and all were delicious. The staff was amazingly warm and friendly. Very highly recommended!!

We came to The Food Temple 3 years ago on our honeymoon and when we planned to return to Lisbon I put it on our list of where to eat immediately. The meal satisfied a picky 8 year old, my not vegan mom, and both of us. The experience of a drink on the stairs is not to be missed.

Good food but tiny portions and disappointing experience - Edit
My experience at the Food Temple is very mixed. The food was excellent but the whole experience was really disappointing. We were very hungry and when we ordered one dish of the day per person (which is not exagerated since we were 4), two different waiters discouraged us to take all that, saying it was too much. We followed their advice but we received, for four people, only five stuffed caneloni! And when we asked for more, they told us that they were running out of it. We interpret their first advice as an attempt to make us spare some food for other customers (which can be understood) without saying it clearly (which is bad!). That was very dishonest (I would even say they lied to us on purpose) and this left us upset and hungry. We get out of here very hungry with no other option to eat considering the hour. Very bad feelings about this place because of their inappropriate behavior and the tiny portions they serve. I will never go there again.

Best vegan in Lisbon - Edit
Can’t say enough good things about this place. Have. Even 3 times now over a few years and it never disappoints. The food is UNREAL. The atmosphere is so lovely with the eating in the stairs (you can sit inside but it’s small and the real experience is the stairs so opt for that). They have beer, wine, and spirits as well. We got 6 tapas, 1 entree, an appetizer, 2 drinks, 2 soups, and 2 deserts among 4 people and it all costs €50,90 ! — just go now. Also the staff is so nice!
