great atmosphere - Edit
Went here twice as it was so good! The food was very tasty and it was lovely sitting outside on the makeshift tables listening to fado coming from somewhere else. Would highly recommend for atmosphere but get there early to sit outside!

Take me back!!!! - Edit
This is a truly hidden gem. Hidden because took us long to find but Im glad we did. The nicest people on Earth, a small and yet familiar type of restaurant where you share table with other people and enjoy a cosy dinner. Food is deliciously cooked and enjoy, is awesome!

Good food, small menu - Edit
This is a bustling little restaurant and we were lucky to get a table without a reservation on a Saturday evening. It was recommended that for two to three people (we were three), we order one soup each, one of each of the three starters (tapas), and one main to share. We did just that and everything was good. The menu changes so you could be a little unlucky with the options. We didn't have any desserts due to lack of time but they looked really good. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Underwhelming - Edit
You need to be desperate to go there. The food was bland, the portion sizes were tiny and it was bad value for money. Plus, it's community style seating so everyone is squished together. Not recommended.

Cons: Expensive, food was bland and portion sizes small,

Little gem - Edit
After walking trough the small neighborhood we didn't expected such a cool place, but it was crowded so you'll have to reserve a table in advance! We had to wait about 45 minutes. But other than that the food was great. I ordered all of the tree tapas and each was delicious, beeing still hungry I also ordered soup which was pretty good too. I didn't feel like having a stew that day (which was the only main dish they offered) but I think they change the menu every day or atleast each week. The "ferrero rocher" cake was great. Even tho the had only one main dish I would definetely come back!

Portuguese vegan fusion tapas - Edit
The place is cute and welcoming, and the food is always different and creative. The food is not always spectacular (it's normally something you could cook yourself at home) but it's tasty. The portions are rather small and it can get expensive. Friendly staff.

Pratos bem confeccionados. Equipa extremamente atenciosa. Um espaço para voltar a visitar.

one of a kind in Lisbon - Edit
The food Temple was funded with crowdfunding (and that already says something about the place) and its now one of the most famous vegetarian restaurants in town. The location is great, in the middle of the popular Mouraria neighbour hood.
Read moreThe only thing I will have to say is that the menu is a bit limited - I can understand the concept behind it but for a costumer it can be a bit...boring.
There is artisanal beer and ciders.
Pros: location, food quality, vibe of the place
Cons: the menu is quite limited

Mauvais accueil :( - Edit

So good!!! - Edit
Lets be honest, Lisbon isn't exactly known for its vegan food, so when we found this tiny little place we were in heaven, we came back twice (which we never do on a holiday).

Food Temple is cute and has a great chilled vibe. The food is great, although make sure you have a pretty varied palette as the menu isn't big and you don't have much choice. But it's delicious and the staff very friendly! Maybe book as well, because it got busy very quick!

Amazing!! - Edit
We have been there for santos populares last night and the atmosphere was fantastic. The food was completely yummy, we tried a bit of everything, all of it was very tasty but the tempeh burger was something else! The beer we only tried 2 variants, great beer! It's for sure a go, and we will come back.

you will meet some interesting people! - Edit
The food is great.
Read moreBut what I found the most remarkable about this restaurant is the people you will meet there.
As the restaurant itself is tiny, my husband and I (Americans in our 50s) invited two single people to join us. One was a long-haired Dutch man in his 20s, the other a French-Argentine woman in her 70s. Both were very cool and interesting people.
After we ate we sat outside the restaurant and chatted with a number of people from
Portugal and a number of other countries, all friendly and intelligent.
This restaurant is a special place that attracts a wonderful variety of people. I particularly encourage people on their own to check it out; it's a really easy place to strike up great conversations with nice people from all over!
It's easy to call for a reservation before you go. All the restaurant's employees speak flawless English and are very nice.

over rated - Edit
The location itself it's nice and people friendly. The food is really pricey and absolutely tasteless. Our main course was a bit of unsalted rice with some pieces of unsalted eggplant and few seitan cubes for 11.50€. Over rated.

good eats and good beer - Edit
This place is busy, so have a reservation or be willing to wait. Also a bit tricky to find. But most places are around these parts. Service is excellent and many different kinds of local Lisboa beers. If you are vegan it won't disappoint. I am vegan and was very happy.

Artful food! - Edit
We were a little freaked out trying to get there because Uber dropped us off in a walking only area because the streets were too small for cars. Don't be deterred. This place is worth the effort.

Good food, not that many options on the menu - Edit
Although everything we tried was very tasty, the menu itself wasn't impressing at all. There was one soup, 3 starters, only one main dish and 3 desserts.
Read moreSecondly, we experienced quite bad service. In the beginning the waiter brought us soup by mistake and told us it was free. My boyfriend ate it but I didn't and informed the other waitress that we didn't even get the menu and didn't order the soup. They apologized, of course, but then brought bread and olives for my boyfriend who only ordered bread with olive oil. Afterwards we got charged for the soup as well as the olives. I have worked as a waitress myself and find it very unprofessional to charge clients for your own mistakes.
The place was also very small and packed only 30 minutes after opening, so if you go, definetely reserve a table beforehand.

Really happy to have discovered this charming little restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The food was delicious (and also pretty special!) and the service was great. Even my non-vegan friend was impressed.

Great spot - Edit
I came by on a wednesday night around 8pm and it was pretty packed. Luckily I had called ahead and go reserved for 2 spots in the shared table.
Read moreI ordered a soup which was good. Then the 3 tapas came which were incredible (1st: Black rice over a semi sweet coconut cream sauce with mangos on top, 2nd:Mushrooms with green and crunchy quinoa on top, 3rd: Pea puree with sundried tomato and leeks on top.
Main course which probably wasn't necessary. Was good but not as special as the tapas. It was white rice with a black bean, pumpkin and soy chunks.
The tapas were very well blended and innovative. WE ordered 3 desserts and it all came out to $50 euros.
I would suggest calling them when they open at 7:30 to reserve your spot.
Pros: taste, vegan, staff
Cons: busy
